OT: What’s Fran thinking

[RU206]

Getting ejected in the B1G tournament. 9 point game.

[bac2therac]

he is going out on his own terms

[RUJMM78]

Time to retire and move back to Philadelphia.

[Sweet Pea's Corner]

He may have been thinking that this is his last game at Iowa heading to the locker room

[Erial_Lion_rivals140457]

I had missed it when it happened and wanted to see a replay of how bad it was, so I tried typing "Fran McCaffery ejection" into Google...I hadn't considered how many different results I'd have to sift through to find it.

[needmorecowbell]

Brilliant move.

[OJRutgers]

What a freaking douchebag!

[ClassOf02v.2]

If that’s his last game at Iowa, what a terrible way to go out. Game was well within striking distance and boom, 4 FTs for Illinois to extend the lead from 9 to 13. I’ve always admired Fran’s offenses, but not his temperament. You’ve gotta choose your spots, and tonight Fran took any chance of his team winning out of their hands.

[fluoxetine]

"What can you do? You gotta protect your players." - half this board probably

[bac2therac]

I want players that shed tears to play for Rutgers...were there any last night

[Sweet Pea's Corner]

Meanwhile we have players laughing after a bad 3 pt shot and players singing and swaying to Africa.

[KK1827]

Id kill to have fran here

[needmorecowbell]

There were plenty of tears shed after the last game. You guys are acting like children.

Heard there was a lot of crying after Michigan. Ugh that was a gut punch

[RUtrumpet92_rivals498139]

I was never a Sandfort "fan" per se, but that's because he always seemed to come up big against us. I would LOVE to have someone like him on Rutgers for four years. Caleb, Ron, and Geo had this look to them when leaving the court for the last time. I don't think the genie can go back in the bottle, but it would be great if there was less portal madness/year-to-year turnover in the sport.

[dconifer0]

I can't stop myself from tipping my cap to Fran for the calmest double-T/ejection ever. He pulled it off...

[fatsam98]

Ejected to end his career there is very fitting.

[Pdabs]

And now Fran is gone.

[The RUT]

Honestly shocked he didn’t get another year

boom....bobby you are next

[fatsam98]

Wonder if he just retires now.

He didn't seem himself this year, that might have been his only ejection?
