The problem is if this season stays on course and we miss the tourney and next year is as bad as it appears it may be, we will be a dead program walking before you know what happened to you. The goodwill with the fanbase isn't as deep as you may think it is I am afraid

Ok..and if we turn it around and next year isn’t as bad as many worry it will be - we won’t be a dead program. Can’t play the what if game….

Right now - on January 26, 2025. Our program is fine.

Hasn’t been better since I’ve been alive

You are an old timer and I get and respect that. But this really just isn't all that great on the whole.

Im only 40..certainly people here who have probably seen the program better (during the 70s).

I’d consider 16000+ fans at msg and 2 top 5 picks pretty good - if not great.

The program has flatlined. That's not gonna cut it.

And worse case a new coach rejunvinates the fan base in two years. All this dead program stuff is pure crap. Articles will be written selection week about our crap season and then guess what come NBA draft time it will be the block R all over when Dylan and Ace names get called. If we suck now and suck next year tune out till we make a change.

Amazing. It is one thing to be bitterly disappointed with how the season has played out and we are sitting at 10-10. I am not going to debate the reasons , Dylan’s health , Pike ‘s disastrous portal transfers , several players severely underperforming , etc.
But last I checked our 4 recruits have all signed and are coming. Pike just signed a fab 5 class this year. 2 of them are Dylan and ACE and they are extremely likely to be 2 of the top picks or top 5 picks in the NBA draft.
The RAC has been hosting sellout crowds . We showed up with 17,000 at MSG. I was in Vegas , pretty sure you were not , and Rutgers had by far the largest crowd and support of all the teams and that was during Thanksgiving week if you forgot.
Get some perspective.
Everyone , me , you , every diehard and every casual fan is bitterly pissed off and disappointed in how things have turned out . But that is different than the program that is well respected nationally and by the BIG 10 conference and by the BIG 10 coaches. It shouldn’t be that hard for you to understand.
