So was the recruitment ever open or just dormant? Not getting this either.

Sounds like Mrs.Brown's daughter wasn't as lovely as thought 😁

edit: I checked the fruit commit list and they signed 7 WRs for the class of 2025.
That might be a reason to reopen his recruiting.

IMO the 7 wrs in their 2025 class was a good reason for moving on.

But he would have known that before hand. NSD was 12/4. He committed to Cuse on 12/16.

4-8 to 6-6.
I didn't even look at their schedule. Just looked.

Losses: Tenn, Clemson, Ga Tech, Miami, SMU, BC, Duke, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Pitt
Wins: Colgate, and maybe UConn.

They will have a difficult time replacing McCord's production. Being generous, maybe they win one of Ga Tech and BC.
That is a tough schedule......................................................... for the ACC.

I see that as 2 wins, 4 toss-ups and 6 losses

There already is a thread on that. Why does it have to be discussed here?

He should choose a team which will give him an immediate opportunity to play.
I think that's what he's doing by reopening recruitment.
Chris probably felt he had a good chance to start when he picked the fruit as his destination and then after talking to the staff felt he had better find another program if he would be assured of being considered a WR starter going intro spring practice .

Again ther is a lot to this story that is private. We should all just wish the young man health, success, and happiness in the spot he lands.

Can't say there's not a lot more about the decisions Long has made that I don't know the reasons why and there's nothing wrong with what Chris is doing .
I do hope he finds a program he feels comfortable with and stays injury free, but once he left RU the only thing I wish for him is remaining injury free and using his academic opportunities football gives him to build a good life after his college days are over.
As for how successful his role with the program he chooses to play for is something their fans can hope, I just hope it's injury free and uses the academic opportunity playing college football gives him to earn his degree
