Maybe, maybe not. Are you familiar with our Beanpot history?
We went decades not winning the tournament and then won our first 4 in the 80s. The last one occurred the year before I arrived. We then went 30 years without winning. Runners up 9 times including 3 straight years ('13-'15).
Finally won in 2018 to break that drought and end my fcking agony...lol. Somehow that set off winning 5 of the last 6 including the last two. We had a three-peat and then 2021 got canceled because Havard wouldn't play due to the Ivy COVID policy. Otherwise it could have been a four-peat.
Being a private school with no football any longer, we don't have great revenue streams and the school has not really pushed NIL, no collective at all. We've lost two really good players on the basketball side over the last three years due to NIL. They made significant impacts at the schools they transferred to. We lost a hockey player to BU last year and this year OSU stole one of our leading scorers and he leads them in scoring and has helped them climb to 3rd in the B1G from last place a year ago.
So while there are no direct parallels, there are many similarities in terms on agony...lol.
But you at least have had some ecstasy thrown in there too.

Feel free to hop on the Husky bandwagon. Can't guarantee we'll have success this year with the Beanpot but we take refugees.
I go to most Army football home games but never went to a hockey game.
With Boomer always talking about it on WFAN, I once thought of giving a season a try but winter travel through Hudson Highlands saw me have to cancel a few games and I forgot about it. How many people are at games?
Exactly. What has RU ever actually won besides some minor bowls in football, and individual titles in Olympic sports?
The arena holds 2,648. When we went it seemed to be sold out. We got tickets online a few days before but there weren't many left. Paid $22 each. We live in Mount Olive and takes 1 1/2 hours at most to get there. We plan on going back. Hobey Baker is a better place to see a game, IMO.
The arena holds 2600. When I was there for Vermont it was pretty much full (Sunday night after Christmas). A lot of families. Vermont is Hockey East and a draw but the crowd seemed into it. I plan to go back for more games.
Going to Army is always interesting since you need to pass through the security gates. However parking was easy. Got the shuttle service for my 86 year old FIL. Everyone was so friendly.
