That game was a lot of things. “Fun” was not one of them.
Might have just needed to be an unbiased college basketball fan. Of course I prefer to see my B1G brethren win ooc, but I lose no sleep either way and I really enjoyed that game, even with almost giving it away at the end. Surprised to see so much negativity from some of your people - I've always felt Rutgers fans were some of the best college basketball fans in the B1G.
Sure, it was a fun game for outside observers. But not for Rutgers fans. Hard to feel good about a team that goes 13-28 from the line.
Needed a last second 3 to beat a sub-200 team at home.
Even the best free throw shooting teams have off nights at the line - especially if a particularly bad shooter gets a more than usual number of trips. What's your season percentage as a team?

We gave up about 10 open layups on the same play.
Setan Hall isn't a sub-200 team now and won't be at the end of the year. Maybe you meant sub-500? Either way, you guys had good numbers, low turnovers. Make your free throws and the game isn't close. Might need to work on rebounding a bit and forcing more turnovers but other than that, you guys looked good.

SHU has 0 NJ players and we have 3 (2 who are bench players).
How many even played in the game last year?

If people can do backflips over "good losses" like Bama and Texas A&M, then people can be critical after "bad wins" like needing a last second 3 to beat SHU.
It's about how the team plays in both instances.
KenPom has them 130 - I trust him a LOT more than anything shart out by the NCAA...My mistake.

You do realize how bad SHU is right? If not I suggest you look at their schedule and see who they lost to. Being from the Midwest you probably won’t even know where some of the colleges are even located.
We are filled with folks emotional knee jerk negative absolute type posts. I am sure most fan bases have some contingent like that ours just seems to be a bit more annoying.
I trust my eyes. I've been watching college ball for 40 years. That team is not as bad as their record says they are. I won't exactly be counting down the days until we come out to see you guys.
