Derkack took the 1st 2 threes and made them both. You would think they would let the guy with the hot hand shoot more threes.

I would start Derkack but he makes a lot of mistakes.

The team needs to learn how to box out and play much better defense.

Message to coaching staff : Stop taking players out who are playing well to give them a rest.
18 year old kids do not need to rest.

He hit 2 threes and did almost nothing the rest of the day. Got beat by his man , got beat on rotations , gave up layups and dunks and didn’t rebound. He was pathetic. At least ACE tried to bring us back. Don’t ever compare the 2.

“Hot hand” was long ago proven to be a myth. Anyway, at the same time he made the 2 shots he was getting run over defensively and was pulled from the game for Martini. So moot point.

Derkack is supposed to be a defensive specialist but his Defense is a JOKE. He's not the guy that the offense should go through. His boxing out and rebounding SUCK for a guy that is supposed to be DEFENSIVE player of the year. that just shows you how bad the other teams in the MAAC conference must be. He is way too SLOW to guard anyone.

Just like the G Fernandes we picked up from UMASS last year. another poor pick out of the portal.

That OSU player destroyed Derkack, Martini and Grant. He put on a clinic.

I wanted to see Bailey or JWill take a crack at it. It could not have gotten any worse.

Pike has never fed the hot hans in his RU career. In fact more often than not someone gets hot and Pike immediately subs them out. Inexplicable and unfixable at this age

He made 2 threes before the under-16 but we had to pull him because Royal was ABUSING him on the other end of the court

Ace, a kid from Georgia, could have chosen Auburn and been coached by Bruce Pearl (proven big time winner with a strong firey personality), but instead chose RU to be coached by Steve Pikell (not a proven winner at P4 level and a placid personality). Still don’t get it. ???

Jordan plays his *** off, but Jordan is a good mid-major player desperately trying to prove he can be a Big 10 star. It ain’t happening!

Noah F had some great games. Derkack never will. He gets preferential treatment to hopefully lure his brother here in a few years.
