I think the rule for redshirting in football is 4 games max, but given that he got hurt in the 5th game (Wisconsin) would Sam Brown have standing to file a medical redshirt appeal?

Nope, he played in five, no medical available.

He still has one year remaining of eligibility though and should be back.

With how medical redshirts and extra seasons are given out like Christmas candy at other colleges, I don’t see why Sam Brown should get one for himself if he choose to get one.

And now I’m reading that that DJ guy who royally sucked the life out of Florida State this year might get an extra year.
