Tickets from RU have not been sent yet, but regardless of where your tickets section is you can sit anywhere you want, no one goes to Maryland football games
sounds like another stadium I know. People leave some really nice seats with cushions unused.

My gosh, I hope things are different this year. We've been absolutely curb stomped for three straight games by what should be a peer program. I can't even rank which was the worst - all 3 were awful.

Found this, but if anyone has suggestions along the way for a food pitstop on the way down, please share. Most of the places in this listing is chains and fast food.
@dconifer - any suggestions for pit stops off of I-95?

I'll get you the best crab cakes ever. if memory serves me correctly it was B&M or something like that. will look but worth the stop!!!!!

UPDATED..........G&M...right off 95 outside of Baltimore (well maybe 15 minutes)

That's on Rutgers. Maryland was pretty good but far from great those theee years. Many other teams found a way to beat them when he was there. They had a losing conference record all 3 seasons.

if you are spending the night, have you looked at Amtrak?
We did, and the schedule was not to our liking. We are locked into leaving around noon (around 3:15 drive), stopping in Baltimore for a seafood lunch, and being back home by 1:30 a.m. No worse than coming home from a trip in NYC to see a show.

Some other stuff I posted in another thread.

While the season is not complete, and have not compared who they played last year versus this year, for the six games Maryland has played this year, their offense has averaged only 22 points per game against B1G opponents versus 27 points per B1G opponent last year. Also, Maryland's defense is giving up an average of 37 point per B1G opponent this year versus 26 points last year. (In fairness, they have played Indiana and Oregon this year, but they gave up 48 points to Minnesota and 37 points to Northwestern).

Rutgers has put up 19 points per B1G game this year (versus 16 last year), and the defense has given up 28 points per B1G game this year versus 25 last year. None of this accounts for Pick sixes or safeties.

There are 4 of us heading down on Friday morning. My son graduated from UMD and still lives down in Baltimore (Fells Point/ Inner Harbor). We will have dinner with him Friday night and he and a few buddies will join our tailgate and game on Saturday.
And a few of you are right, nobody goes to UMD games. Makes our Saturday turnouts look awesome

For those heading down, I recommend taking 301 through Delaware into Maryland, and stopping for a place to eat right before the Chesapeake Bridge

I think it’s called Kent Island, or something, but there is a bunch of nice places there right on the water, truly scenic and great food, specifically seafood if you like that

We did that when we came down for the USA versus Columbia soccer match in June, and had a fantastic time

Highly recommend for anyone coming down to the game, specifically from the Monmouth County area
