You should, because this makes it harder for us to recruit.

A field house suddenly makes Syracuse a recruiting threat to HC Schiano and Rutgers?

I would have thought HC Schiano superior recruiting ability would mitigate any alleged benefit Syracuse gets from the facility.

Guess the recruiting advantage he provides isn’t as impactful as long been described.

It much easier to blame the coach than fans. Get with the program Al. If only we hired ______. We would be winning the B1G and Naty already. Just look at _______.

Who has said we should be winning the B1G? (Other than the OP coincidentally. I think next year was his Rose Bowl proclamation?)

Would you care to answer - considering the many institutional advantages (Big Ten v ACC, NJ v NY), shouldn't HC Schiano and his elite recruiting ability be well ahead in recruiting against Syracuse? Regardless of a "fieldhouse"?

Gavin Sidwar cares. That’s why he’s visiting Syracuse this weekend.

Maryland and Syracuse have passed us by thanks to their new Fieldhouse.
Luv' ya' bro BUT Sidwar didn't de-commit and start scheduling visits - to multiple campuses - because of "field houses." He's gone because we have a HC who still thinks he's coaching in 2006 and an OC who is right there with him. I would've de-committed as well if I were him. Sorry.

Wrong. You are making things up again to cite your agenda and placing minimal blame on the coaching staff.

Want to promate a facility then do so.
Don’t make up words about a kid though to fit your agenda.

Or is Gavin a liar?
Don’t see anything about a field house in why he decommitted.

I’ll even provide a source. Can you provide one?

"I felt it was best for me to take more visits to make sure I was finding the offense that is best for my skill set.

"I'll be honest, I wasn't talking to schools behind Rutgers back
. Schools would reach out but I wasn't too receptive," Sidwar said. "Schools would reach out to coach Gordon (LaSalle head coach Brett Gordon) but he kept them away.

"So there isn't a school that prompted me to do this. This was more about Rutgers, me, and whether this was still the right fit for my skill set. I'm back to the drawing board. No visits as of now, but that could change."

No he didn’t de-commit because of a Fieldhouse. He decommitted because their quarterback is having an amazing season and he would like to be able to put up similar numbers.

But When he sees Syracuse’s brand new Fieldhouse, he’s going to get the impression that they are more committed to Football Success.

And I’m sure Fran Brown gave him an NIL offer he can’t refuse. Fran knows exactly how to recruit against us. This puts us at a competitive disadvantage in recruiting.

As if it’s going to be completed by the time he arrives…please
He might be majoring in construction management or architecture. Rutgers needs to think more about the prospective majors of recruits. THAT makes all the difference. 😵

Yeah, it had absolutely nothing to do with us being anemic on offense yet again this season… 👍

I’m sure his decision comes down to a field house. He rescinded his commitment because the offensive coaching staff sucks and there is no offensive identity other than not scoring.

He will not end up at Syracuse.

McCord has thrown his 6th pick in 2 games. Syracuse is piling up penalties against VT today. Losing 14-3 at home, and VT is without their two best offensive weapons- Tuten and Drones. That Fieldhouse can't come fast enough!!!!

We might not need it vs Syracuse. But what about the other B1G schools? Would you care to answer? Better question is why can an inferior program like Syracuse get the money for a new field house and Rutgers can’t. Care to answer?

Every coaches job is to win the Naty. How many have done it. How many teams have won the B1G since we joined?

You keep repeating it so I'll keep asking.

Who is saying this?
Can you cite the threads where people are upset with HC GS because we haven't won a National Championship or the Big Ten yet?

Might not?
According to Al we DO need it against Syracuse.
That was my question.

They have passed us by.
Big Ten
Nearly $100m/year in media revenue soon.
HC Schiano and his elite recruiting prowess.

None of that matters and all trumped by a fieldhouse.

Great question about funding
I've long said the AD needs a full auditing and need to spend their money more wisely.
Such as not giving out extensions and raises haphazardly in the middle of contracts.

Leaving us in their rear view mirror with every interception.
Hope the Big Ten doesn't kick us out and take Syracuse.
Since they are so far ahead of us now as a program.....

Your answer why Syracuse can afford it and we can’t is full audit. Got it.

Better question is why did the AD/leadership think it was more beneficial to build 2 performance centers/academic centers without fitting in a field house. The issue is this should have been consolidated into 1 maybe 2 projects instead of 3-4. Didn’t need to build the APC or rodkin center without a true field house incorporated.

The AD and others needed cushy offices for themselves. Priorities!
