It sounds like the FOX Sports team had a great time in Piscataway. Devon Gardner said that their Thursday prep with Schiano was “the best he’s ever had” with a coach. Brando ranks us now in his top-15, too bad he doesnt have an AP vote!

Was the first ever football game played at SHI? News to me
Take the "L" Plum, it's obvious this was his 1st time calling a game at SHI stadium and the atmosphere he encountered. The RAC isn't even on the same campus, so unless they took him on a tour before the basketball game he was probably never in it and definitely never in it during a game.

At least the RAC is in the same town with SHI .

I liked the Brando/Gardner pairing. Felt like a big time broadcast.

First few seconds of the broadcast, after introducing the UW coach as a Jersey guy, he says GS is from Virginia before quickly correcting himself.

You mean different than other games he has called?
He does all the Friday night Fox games.
I’ve watched 1000s of games and never heard play by play and color delivered in that fashion.
So I’ve either never heard those two together before or it was different .

Brando can get a little clownish for my taste and be over the top in spots, but not as bad as Gus Johnson in that respect. So didn't mind missing his PBP since I was at the game.

I'd have to hear Gardener a few times before forming an opinion but thought he did fine in the Illinois-Nebraska game the week before. Notably, he's been to SHI before and came up on the short end as he was UM's QB during RU's first season in the B1G ten years ago.

Gardner was fun while pointing out some interesting info.
Beats Herbstreit choking games with endless Ramen noodle level observations.
He's a male Beth Mowins for me - soon as I tune-in and hear his voice its a downer

Herbie's dog fetish is tiresome. Did not tune in to see the Westminster dog show.
