Rutgers got =35 votes in the USA Today Coaches poll; good enough for 29th. Rutgers received 5 votes last week.

don’t get me started on coaches with visors. did you see kirby smart ? lane kiffin? jedd fish? they all look silly each one looked like a putz. ugh the visor.
It is interesting when you look at our last 3 P4 wins.

we had a great night on national tv and win the game and rutgers fans have been bitching and complaining about everything and everyone for 3 days now . cant make this up.
I don't think anyone cares if we're ranked at 4-0. Or at 5-0. Or whatever the record is every Sunday. The only ranking that matters is the last one for the CFP playoff contenders.
but each week is the buildup for the next-Now- we are talking we hope to be ranked at 5-0 with wins at VaTech, Home against Washington and hopefully, away at Nebraska. And maybe we end up number 27. It isn't a big deal at this moment but where we finish- but that leaves 2 more teams to jump in the following weeks to try to get to 12.
FWIW, the CFP poll is separate from the AP or coaches polls so we don't really need to jump anyone as they haven't released one yet and won't for a while.
We are #30 in the Massey composite of computer rankings: https://masseyratings.com/ranks?s=cf and while people have different feelings about computer rankings they are an objective source that is not biased against Rutgers. I don't really find our place in the rankings to be unfair at all and I think it is very likely we would be into the top 25 (both in the computer rankings and actual polls) if we were to pull off a win this week.
I think if Vtech gets by Vandy in week 1 we are probably ranked right now. Of course if all else stayed the same, and it wouldn't. But that Vandy loss took a lot of steam from the VTech hype train.
