We Are So Much Better than VT

Check out the dominating statistics -- time of possession, turnovers, first downs, total offense. Nine out of ten times Rutgers, with these types stats, closes a game out in the first half. This one just an anomaly of missed opportunities. VT isn't bad, they'll probably go bowling, but the RU program is better than the scored reflected.

Last year I saw RU's run game knock the stuffing out of B1G DLs.
VT was really really good - best I saw so far.
Maybe RU had the flu or the bye-week blues.
I don't know but it will be interesting to see next week

Opposing DCs have such an easy job scheming for RU.
Runs up the middle and "safe" passes to the sideline.
Sideline passes are hard when high and slow.
I want more 9 routes with Miller.
RU needs spacious passing TDs to keep guys back

RU red zone in 2007 - RZ problems never go away

"We had 500 yards of offense and we scored one touchdown. That's not going to get it done." Here's the irony of Rutgers' sudden red zone problems heading into Friday's game at Army: This offense is on pace to finish the regular-season with 5,500-plus yards, which would shatter the school record of 4,765. But the Knights are just 5-4 overall in large part because the unit has just 17 touchdowns compared to 13 field goals to show for its 34 trips to the red zone so far. "The one common theme is that we've dropped some passes in the end zone," head coach Greg Schiano said, "but there have been enough other reasons. We just have to get it fixed. "It's frustrating when you have six trips in there and you only score 19 points."

Virginia Tech has a very good secondary, its the strength of their defense. It bodes well that Athan was able to complete 64% of his passes for 269 yds.

I don't understand why people are saying we should have won by 30. If Drones, Tuten, their receivers and their all everything pass rusher left the game then I would agree.

Should , could have , …, I agree but Schiano is his worst enemy and he never learns…. He will always be Rutgers worst downfall

Last year Michigan State was up 24-6 in the 4th quarter and Rutgers made up the gap and won. Michigan State fans probably said they were the better team and should have won by at least 30.
