Hopefully a clean break. I broke mine clean near the knee in ‘21 and was skating again 9 weeks later…and could have returned sooner if not for my ankle sprain.

Bummer. Was really rooting for him. Hopefully he doesn't lose his spot and fully recovers.

Definitely sucks since this is the last year of his rookie contract, correct?

This is his 3rd year; he still has next season on the rookie deal. My guess is that he has shown enough that he'll get a second contract somewhere and make enough in the next 3 or 4 years to be set for life.
I can't stand the Chiefs, but wish the best for Isaiah.

They are going to find out quickly how the rb they drafted is not in IP's league.
They havent drafted a RB in the last 2 years. Pacheco is their most recent RB draft pick. Their 2020 draft pick (CEH) is on the injured list for the first 4 weeks with non-football related health issues.

If anything, this injury may help display how useful Pacheco is to the balance of their offense. Hopefully KC rips up his contract next summer and pays him $5-6M a year for the next 3 yrs.

Feel bad for him but makes it easier for me to root against the Chiefs.
How could anyone root against Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, and the Kansas City Chiefs ?
BTW, their tight end has a cute girlfriend.

Damn, he had me convinced he was indestructible.
Let's hope for a speedy recovery.

Thanks. Didn't realize Steele was undrafted.

In general a running back is only in the NFL for 5 or 6 years, and I read that the average is only 2.7 years. They get hit hard on every single play. I hope he is a saver and not a check to check spender.

Obviously would prefer he didn’t get hurt but he runs like a maniac and his body takes a beating. Some time off may be a good thing in the long run - assuming he comes back at full strength.

I just started to see him in commercials.
The injury looked awkward.
He wasn't hit on front of knee.
Another player's leg was behind Pacheco's knee when it bent closed.
It looked like knee would have been forced to expand.
Hard to see how there could be no ligament/cartilage etc damage.

Was it dream okay or hip drop type on tackle?
