Comcast must be punished for their hardball tactics (and Big Ten rewarded for their hardball tactics!). Cut Comcast's cable cord and use their broadband cord to watch Big Ten games. Big Ten must be on base tier that carries ESPN in states with Big Ten universities.

Furthermore.. have Big Ten connected companies call Comcast/NBC and drop advertising.. move it to networks that support BTN.

Fox holds Al the cards. If they tell Comcast they can’t have Fox News (highest rated cable network by far) without BTN then a deal gets done quickly.

Still hoping that the B1G ultimately takes Stanford and Cal to lock out the SEC and Big12 from the West Coast altogether.
The Golden Gate Bridge and other Bay Area landmarks on the B1G Map Commercial for Cal/Stanford would be sweet. I wouldnt be shocked at all if Cal/Stanford end up making the B1G the B2G around 2030 sometime. B1G would LOVE to get into the Bay Area Market, add 2 of the strongest academic brands in the nation, and get a foothold into Silicon Valley.

Coin flip IMO between Cal/Stanford and UVA/UNC as to which schools the B1G goes after next in expansion sometime around 2030 when the next media deal is set to expire. Can't go wrong in either direction.

After the first couple of weeks of college football I am starting to change my tune on further expansion. This conference has plenty of brands and content. I don’t know if adding another two schools matters much to me but it will dilute Rutgers IMO

We are part of an exclusive club. ND and Stanford/UNC or shut er down.

Could potentially do both and have ND (finally having to give up independence) and maybe VaTech or NCState. Locks up Eastern Seaboard through NC along with West Coast. Who knows. Pieces still in play and this assumes we suddenly don't see shift in other direction to contraction that includes only Bluebloods.

UNC and UVA gotta get into the south. State schools in large and growing states. Fantastic olympics and academics
FSU and Clemson are going somewhere
Finish the west with AZ or CO
SEC will grow and take schools in AZ/CO/VA/NC
ND is inevitable once it's finally the P2 in the future

Would love to steal A&M from the SEC to get into Texas, grab ND, UNC and either Florida State or Miami to get into Florida. I can dream.

As a Texan (since 2006 at least) I just can’t see Texas A&M leaving the SEC. No B1G game will ever top the fan excitement of OU, UT, Bama, Or LSU. The President who makes that call may need to move. That said, if in 10 years the new B1G is the hands down premier football conference, then maybe.
