Having never watched the Game of Thrones that music is lame, especially for the Big Ten. Must be a nerd anthem.
That is much worse, imo. Love the current song, fits perfectly
The Game of Thrones theme is PERFECT. It speaks to total dominance and relates to over all power. That is EXACTLY what the B10 is trying to portray. Calling it lame couldn't be further from what The Big Ten is trying to message.
Agreed! Love GOT theme to this commercial! If you watched GOT you would absolutely get it and love it!
For the non nerds out there that never watched the show there is no total dominance reference. Sounds more like a romance movie soundtrack.

I missed the episode where the BIG misses on Texas and let's it go with Oklahoma to its biggest competitor. Not exactly "total dominance."
It’s more a fear of what he doesn’t understand, so he goes into attack mode. Pretty juvenile!
I don’t think that’s what the commercial is trying to portray. The commercial is all about being one big family. One United conference.

The only thing wrong with the current map song is I can't understand the lyrics. I hear "I wana miss the ever winding road, I wana see the characters of the ever lasting sea"
I never watched GOT but I do that that theme over the current one. I think the B1G wanted an original song and must have picked one out of a submission of a bunch of original song ideas. It would have been cool if they had a contest and each school submitted a song entry.
So it wasn't even a B1G exclusive song. The lyrics sounds like it is about a couple wanting to live together.
