I'm here & can confirm. They had convocation this morning and put 7,000 freshman on buses and sent them over here to the stadium. They all were given T-shirts as well.
Currently 5:43 p.m. and the student section is probably 3/4 full. The other quarter is sadly outside online because Rutgers neglected to tell them they can't bring bags into the stadium so they are all in line checking their bags.

I sit in section 207 and literally from one end of the stadium to the other, the three rows in front of me and the five behind me are empty. There are absolutely more students in this stadium right now than there are regular fans

Those are the future donors, big boosters and fans of our university

Have a good tailgate, come in and enjoy the scene

This, along with Hoff stuff getting out of the rug, hopefully the beginning of Big things for Rutgers football, of course, in addition to Gregg building a potential monster

Has been walking toward the stadium through the blue and yellow lots for about 20 minutes now. It’s complete insanity. Thousands and thousands of them.

That being said…,I’m getting old holy ****!
I don’t know how to do it from my phone lol… DM me your phone number if you want
Ask the youngins' - they will know how to use these newfangled gadgets! 😃

Driving up River Rd from 18 at 4p and there were students lined up on the hill coming down from the Scarlet lot. I’ve never seen that hill as packed as it was. Also credit the student section for sticking around. I left with ~10 min to go and they were hanging tight.

I'm glad they got that Hoff stuff out of the rug - what drinking game were you playing? 😉

Not for long, someone dropped the ball on telling them what they could bring in. The line for the lockers was as far as the eye could see and they did not seem happy about it.

That was indeed a disaster

Wife had a small purse that she brings to every sporting event we go to
Thing can barely fit a 12oz beer (not that I've tried doing that lol)

First gate, no dice
Second game, nada
Third gate, no problem

Line was legit 200 deep for the lockers
She was ready to leave, but I said keep going to other gates, eventually someone will let us in

They need to fix this asap

The first year (2018?) they had the "purse rule," we stopped at Target to get a clear plastic purse. Of course my wife took ten minutes more to 'pick up a few things.' She brings it to every game. Has that rule changed?

They were sending people to the locket line even with clear bags

Apparently it was the size of the bag which was the issue

Hers is no bigger than 6 x 6

They had these laminated cards that measured the exact amount permitted

Never saw that before - but alas, all’s well that ends well
