Both the #1 and #2 QBs need reps in actual games. But there's not all that much football before the VT game. The first game shouldn't be difficult, and the week off before VT. Akron would be the game for the offense to get used to the pressures and speed and for the QB and receivers to tune things up. The running game is already ready.

I couldn't imagine coming up with ONE new moniker let alone 10 in a single day. I'd just say "I lost...grabbing my bag....headed home" by that point lol!
After the first bad game/loss, Ajani will magically transform into Pat Mahomes, as all 2nd string QBs at RU always do. And there will be chapter and verse about how the coaches were too blinded by favoritism to see the obvious talent languishing on the bench.As always, I trust the coaching staff to play the QB with the best chance to win the game. Whomever it might be.
Also as always, as soon as we have a loss, or even just a really bad game, I expect some fans to start inventing convoluted theories as to why the coaching staff isn’t playing some other QB. And many fans will insist they know better than the coaches who should be starting.
If that stuff ain’t happening, it’s just not football season.
