OT: Phil Donahue dead

I sat behind him at a Broadway show earlier this year. Looked horrible. He had a handler behind him who put his arms under Phil’s armpits to help him walk. Very sad to see. Marlo looked great though. RIP

Yeah, he did not look good when he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Honor in May (see below). May he RIP. He broke a lot of ground, and Oprah thanked him for paving the way for her career.

Was flipping channels yesterday and one station had that girl on all weekend. And Phil is gone. RIP.

Lady divorcee show.

The View watchers of today who think boys are girls and girls are cats and cats are birds who are fish got their start with Phil - who had little competition at the time.
That's a little too simplistic and dismissive. He had everyone on from Pete Rose, Muhammad Ali, Nelson Mandela, John Cleese, Sammy Davis Jr., to Elton John, the list goes on and on. That show was big back in the day.

@ashokan is good at football talk, but on social commentary, not the greatest like Muhammad Ali-he could not have missed Ali on Donahue?
