All I can remember hearing about in the FHJ era and end of the Waters era, on how many kids leaked out to Pitt, West Virginia from the tri-state area and RU fans wondering what it would take.....at least now it's very clear, that NIL is a factor in retaining kids BUT the duffle bag days of before were clearly there.

That's what I don't get about the people frustrated about NIL. Now at least schools like Rutgers can participate as well. The transfer portal I understand but I'm sure that will come to a head soon. These guys will be signing contracts with specific windows of time soon. And restrict the ability of schools to make offers to players while they're under contract.

Kentucky has been doing that stuff forever.
They got the death penalty for a year back in the early 50's.
