OSU has their hands full. Up 3 7 minutes left (about to get 1 free throw)

Have said this a few times, but have been watching Cornell all year. Too bad that Manon was out tonight. BS technical on Gray (for yelling "and 1") changed the course of the game, too bad for him - would like to have any and all of Manon, Gray, and Hansen on RU next year.

Great effort by Brian Earl, who will be elsewhere next year, especially without First Team All Ivy Manon,on crutches. If Rutgers added just Manon and Perkins of Penn, it's a much, much stronger team. Gray is an all effort guy. Kind of a poor man's Matt Allocco. This was the best Ivy season since the Cornell run to the Sweet Sixteen in 2010. Mack has a huge decision to make this week. Harvard degree or $500,000 plus from Georgetown or Maryland, vs. a lifetime of the Harvard alumni network.

Weird spin. ACC greatness? OSU losing until minute left at home.

Not doing any spin.
Who said ACC or OSU was great?

Big East was supposed to be a/the top conference? Gotten 6 bids instead of 3?
Providence was 4th in the "great" Big East and lost to BC who was 11th in the ACC.

Cornell was 3rd in the "more difficult that you think Ivy" but lost to OSU a mid tier Big Ten team.

Just seems like the narratives may have been overstated a bit.

Providence loses to BC and Cornell loses to OSU.

So much for the Big East/Ivy League greatness narratives?
Not unlike losing to Hofstra at home last year. Snubbed teams usually can’t get their minds right. Thanks to Captain from Cool Hand Luke for the inspiration

Lame excuse-- all teams playing in the Nit would rather be in Ncaas. When teams from a so called superior league like the Bigeast lose en mass, it certainly hurts their overinflated status.

But legitimate excuse nonetheless.
Some teammates motivated more.
Some less. Expectations.
North Texas State cared.

Indiana State didn't seem to "not care" with a win.
So not all the "snubs" blew off their NIT game and lost.

It says more about the staff and players allowing a "snub" to let them down.

Indiana State had not been to the post season (NIT or NCAA) in like 10 years. Probably not the best example. Now, if you said Wisconsin (even though it was last year), I would agree. Perennial NCAA team that decided to go win it.

FWIW, the seeded teams went 10-6 in round one this year. Everyone knows that the NIT is about trying to gut out the first round and then hoping the team gets focused and cares.
