The bus has a flat tire this year but next year we might be pretty good.
We not only have a flat tire, we are out of gas and the engine is overheating. Pike, however, keeps saying Triple A is on the way and will be here soon.
Great pub by Katz, who has been a fan of Rutgers basketball since Pike and company turned the program around. Next year can't come fast enough.
Do we have to be standing next to our car with our AAA card when they get here ?

How did we get to a point where a program like Colorado State is better than us? Do we accept mediocrity more readily? Or does the staff get a pass for multiple years of dismal roster management? Pushing folks out the door has to happen, like it or not.
Colorado State is marginally better than us. For one year. So is Princeton. And North Texas. Big ******* deal.

Pretty much only elite programs have the level of players to be solid every year. Even they have their hiccups only it is usually coming up just short of them not winning their conference or the national title.
We are not any where near being an elite program so that means we just don't have the starting five or deep bench that can rebound after a tough loss.
At this point, I am still wondering how we beat SHU. But my guess is that we will win a game here and a game there with the rest of the schedule and start dreaming about next year.

How long have you been following Rutgers hoops? We’ve had too many down years over the last 30. It defies explanation.
which is exactly why we can't expect to go from 30 years of futility to all of a sudden being good every single year
Calling OSU dreadful might be a bit much. They do have 3 conference wins, including one over us.
I'm interesting in hearing what you would do if you were in charge. Let's throw it out there and not just make statements that aren't grounded in reality.
Exactly this has been said over and over again by folks in the know and also the mods here but some still refuse to get it. Most of those same someone’s were at the very minimum bashing at least Paul last year as well so I don’t expect them to get it.
