Since this is mostly about the OSU NIL money funding their Portal acquisitions, I just read on their O-Zone forum site that CJ Stroud and many other ex-OSU players have contributed HUGE money to OSU which could be part why there is so much OSU NIL funding out there. It also said that OSU is 2nd in the number of NFL players right behind Alabama

This is perhaps what’s most surprising to me given RUs proximity to Wall Street and the number of RU alumni working in Finance. Also, don’t we have any former RU wrestlers that are doing well enough that they can help carry and support the program? Is there a wrestling alumni booster club or do those former wrestlers get involved?

I'm a big believer in letting people do what they want with their own $$ and I do not begrudge the players involved for taking money that is offered to them... but man, I cannot help but wonder what that money could do for charitable causes on an annual basis instead of going to the transfer portal or to blue chip recruits. If it's $13M at Ohio State alone for one year alone, what're we talking annually across the college landscape? Half a billion or more?

Lou Wexner, founder of Limited Brands and Victoria Secret, is a prominent Ohio State supporter and he gives tons of money to Ohio State and many other charitable causes.
