I believe this was an away game I was at

First play of the game was a swing pass by Maryland that was picked off and taken into the endzone for a RU td

Good start I would say

Jersey Joe Martinek
It’s funny. Everyone k it’s how fast T Brown was back on that team and never realized that Joe was even faster. Another deceptive fast guy from back in those days was D’Imperio. I think he may have been gone the year before but fast as hell.

Martinek was more like 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

I think he also got into a dust up with ash and staff because tickets weren’t left for him or something, right ?

The ticket thing was Teel. And Joe actually was the fastest guy on the team in 09.

Martinek was the guy who seemed to only cut to his left.. correct? I have noticed that Monangai is similarly fond of the lateral jump like a stair step.. but he goes right.

Martinek running upfield:

pretty much- Joe was mostly going to the left. And when he would hit that sideline- he often just broke away from the defense.
