Maybe Woolf. Beyond that, nada. Anyone?
For sure Wolf, who I expected to be our most improved player. I'd say #2 was Davis, for his first game I really liked what I saw from him - think he will be pretty special for us sooner rather than later. Free throws - hit em all, but only shot 7 total by two guys, so not getting too excited. Oskar's dish on the break and his overall shooting was nice. Dat about it.

JMike 7 rebounds, 3 assists, only 1 turnover in 29 minutes for his first real (not exhibition) collegiate game. Plus good energy and effort on defense.

Besides the obvious play of Wolf and jamike, I felt the following were positives:
•Cliff’s improved post play and moves
•Oskar’s improved defensive play
•Overall play by Noah, esp getting to the rim.

Hopefully we’ll see improvement in Gavin’s and Simpson’s games in the next few contests.

Positives:

1. Woolf
2. Oskar
3. Austin Williams was a nice surprise
4. J-Mike's defense, leadership, toughness
5. I "only" missed the first 13 minutes of the first half because of the parking abomination.
6. I didn't get mugged walking to and from my car with my kids.
7. We never have to play in that godforsaken place ever again. Book it.

Oskar dribbled the ball up the court and made a great pass. I held my breathe bc that’s never happened before.

Wolf was awesome.

We looked quick but def smaller than I’m used to.

Al true, but a very poor 2-10 shooting with a buch of misses at the rim was a major negative and one reason the offense struggled.

I look at it like this, this is a new group of players, coaches weren't sure who works well with who. Princeton will make you pay for any confusion you have on defense. This didn't allow the coaches to play around with guys that don't understand how Rutgers wants to defend. Went with a lineup to start and they almost got blown out of the gym, inserted a more defensive minded group and came back. But guys like Griffiths couldn't get back on the floor because Princeton would take advantage. Tough game but I feel like we can see a number of positives.

When Fernandes gets in better playing shape he will be a nice pg and clutch player for the team capable of hitting the big shots.

Palmquist is going to be a positive contributor on both ends of the floor. His experience will pay off this year.

Jamichael Davis has leadership capabilities and plays under control with speed and good ball handling. Not a good shooting night but if you saw the game, others were deferring so he took it himself except the one coast to coast attempt. Tried to do too much there but he's a freshman, great game. Seems like he was the most vocal player out there.

Woolfolk, hell yeah, losing that weight has done him well. Hopefully ogbole can get healthy and play back up center because the best lineup was with him and cliff.

Austin Williams looks like a savvy veteran and when he is further removed from his ACL he should look even better with more athleticism.

Team just has to gel more and the other guys have to get into the intensity of the season and they will be ok. Team has some pieces, pike just has to rearrange the rubix cube..

The Cliff lob pass from beyond the 3 point line to Woolf for the dunk was the highlight play of the night. Woolf, Oskar, and Davis were the biggest positives for me, and Austin Williams was a bit of a bright spot.
Watched the game again this morning. Agree with all your positives, and regarding that lob from Cliff to Woolf — if that play had happened at the RAC, the roof would’ve blown off.

Hard to have many positives when you score 61 pts.
For all the talk "Pike benched players who weren't ready or playing defense" we got outscored in the 2nd half too.
Not sure how much the benchings worked.
Not by as much as the 3 guys he benched got outscored when they were in there

Yes. Also thought Oskar's D was improver. Moving his feet.

Just curious… we’re you able to record the game from the Peacock broadcast or were you able to rewatch it through some other means?

Yes, as others noted, I typed Rutgers in the search feature of Peacock and it came up. Interestingly, I could rewind and fast forward which I couldn’t do during live action, so that was a cool benefit of watching it after the fact.

If you could fast forward during live action you would be the richest man on the planet, bankrupting Fan Duel, DraftKings and every other betting site . . .

Only after rewinding, lol. Btw, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone figured out a way to make money by having the fastest feed. Ever notice how some posts in game threads are ahead of everyone else?
