Total complaints? Just football game related, or are we counting music, fans, no fly over, the food, bathroom line, the lack of detail medical records on injuries, and announced attendance count?
I am so glad I do everything I can not to read the in game thread ever. I sat there on Sat night and during the 2nd and 3rd qtr- I knew our thread may have been the saddest thing ever.
I knew this because at that time and one of the most half full fans you will meet- I was cursing the team out in my theater room myself.

Rutgers 20
Virginia Tech 13

Defense controls the game and gives the offense short fields. Only way to win with this offense against legitimate opponents.

With Va. Tech focusing on stopping the run things might open up for GW and the passing game....particularly with Jackson.

And Long, Washington, …. See TE’s playing a big role as well.

I’m just curious - those of you saying VTech will be the toughest defense we’ve faced so far. Why do you think that? Purdue scored more points on offense vs Fresno, but had more yards against VTech.

Also - It’s not looking like Fresno’s D is good this year, so I’m not sure being better than Fresno on D means that much? Fresno followed up the Purdue win by giving up 31 points to a bad FCS team in a nail biter.

No prediction because I know nothing about the VT team but I really really hope we win.
My wife is from VA and her dad went to VT. Huge VT fans.
SIL went to VT for a year before transferring out.
Wife planned on going to VT (but her sister was already there - they are only a year apart) so she went to James Madison instead. Biggest regret of her life not going to VT 🤮

Funny enough - my SIL married a UVA grad.
So we are both on the "outside" of the VT circle.
Watched the RU-VT bowl game down there with them all and it was miserable. I kept telling them - "We can't score. You'll come back."

Don't worry though. Wife has been fully indoctrinated and will be in Rutgers gear on Saturday and not wearing her dumb purple turkey hat. At least she better be unless she wants to walk to and from the stadium.

We're hoping to go to Blacksburg next year.
My wife has never been to a VT game.

You seem to not understand the purpose of a score prediction thread. Perhaps you can start an education genealogy thread.

I wonder if VTech is getting the safety back (Peoples). Big loss for them if not. He DNP in the Purdue game but recorded 5 tackles against Old Dominion.

I listened to a VT podcast and oh boy, they were down on the Hokies. QB situation is a big problem, no running game, top two WRs hurt. Said the team is soft. I think RU kicks their turkey teeth out. RU 30-7.

Edit: VT starting TE also out.

From the article

Coach Who Should Take the Bus to Work

Brent Pry (39), Virginia Tech. The Hokies ran the ball 22 times for 11 yards in their home loss to Purdue, marking the 11th time in Pry’s 13 games as head coach that they’ve averaged 3.5 yards per carry or less. This was the worst of the 13, checking in at 0.5 yards per rush. This isn’t an easy rebuild, and it will remain difficult as long as Virginia Tech is outmanned in the running game. (Tech’s next opponent, Rutgers, is sixth nationally in fewest yards allowed per carry at 1.74.)

Blackshears 7.

Ya picked the wrong team Mr. Blackshear.
Not sure why Blckshear was brought up, but I respectfully disagree about the wrong team. Blackshear made his decision to transfer before Greg was hired, and while he could have stayed after Greg was hired, it worked out for him. He is on an NFL roster and had a decent rookie season. Also, it gave Pacheco the spotlight, and he made the NFL and had a terrific rookie season. That is a win win. Regardless of whether fans agree with his decision to sit out, considering what a dysfunctional mess the team was under Ash, after his and McNulty's firing, I don't blame him for what he did. Opinions will vary on what he did, but IMO, we can move on.

13-3 at half. D wears down the tech offense and Rutgers ball control offense takes over in second half. Give up late touchdown.

This. The rule is a loophole but since it exists, I don’t blame the kids on our team who chose to exercise their right to use it if applicable (I.e. kids who hadn’t yet taken used a non-injury redshirt year). Our situation was a train wreck beyond comprehension at the time on both sides of the ball.

Here’s to hoping Michigan State has a bunch of kids who think along the same lines after the allowed 4 games.

We play it close to the vest as Schiano knows Vtech can't score on us. We win 17-3.
