I'm a die hard Yankee fan and always have been but I'm not going to lie I'd rather have Pete Alonzo than Aaron Judge. Alonzo is just an RBI machine. He plates the people on base I dont care what his average is when they are on base he brings them home I think its awful Judge has 31 HR's and 58 RBI's. Judge has 8 games all year where he didnt hit a HR but got at least 1 RBI. All or nothing Sucks

Alonzo in 129 games is hitting .225 with a 3.0 WAR.
Judge is hitting .261 in 83 games with a 3.4 WAR. Judge also plays a great right field, has a cannon for an arm, and is a damn good base runner.
Judge is also the fastest EVER to get to 250 home runs....ever.

Judge is also wildly overpaid off a year he finally stayed healthy. He is a key reason the team sucked balls this year. Roster is top heavy salary wise and they will be a last place team for a while unless they change everything. But Cashman is there ti stay. Enjoy !

Judge is most overrated player in baseball and way overpaid for his production/defensive play

Let's see how many games it takes for Alonzo to get to 250. How long did Judge's
Rookie HR record last before Alonso broke it? Put the pipe down, so true. LMFAO!

A guy that is loved by his teammates, by the fans by his club. Mets teammates and the front office don't want Alonso around.
Clueless as usual,so true. I notice little is said about The 3 Amigos constantly crashing the Mets thread. Crickets and no opening for you to say you have an excuse to start posting in the Mets thread. Judge might be "loved" by his teammates but let's face it, he's never around long enough to get under their skin, too funny.

Dipshits=stink. You and other stankee fans are so predictable, and I am excluding the good Yankee fans who are not dipshits like you and your two amigos who crap up the Mets thread every year. Hope your last place tears are delicious. By the way, learn to spell.
^^^^^
Mets fan on full tilt after a full season watching the worst team ever money can buy. LOL!

Judge is actually a better ball player than Alonso.

But the HR/RBI ratio is very strange. Even with his two monster years- his career is 1.98 RBI to every HR
Trout is 2.55/1
Alonso 2.57/1
Freeman 3.56/1

Heck- even Lindor is 3.17/1

That's what happens when you are forced to bat 2nd, don't have a legit leadoff hitter, nor can the bottom of the lineup get on base.

Pretty simple explanation.

Try the MLB Network sometimes. Lots of people who actually covers teams are on it all the time. Who knew? Obviously not you!
Or perhaps because you’re kindred spirits. Many of us don’t want you around … you post like a prick.

Both are prolific power hitters that play for high-priced, poorly constructed, arrogant messes in the country's biggest media market. Assuming they stay healthy, baseball should be so lucky to have these two go punch for punch for their entire careers. It'd be nice to see them compete for a championship.

Alonso does have better RBI rate than Judge no matter which way it is compared (RBI/game, RBI/HR, etc).

That said, when looking at runs scored, Judge has a greater advantage over Alonso so that in actually runs produced, Judge has been more productive.

A potential mitigating factor is Judge also misses games from injury at a higher rate. I’ll let you NY guys argue over how much that impacts each player’s “value”.

Who gives a flying F about a WAR. Whoever came up with these stupid launch speed, launch angles, WAR etc is an idiot at the end of the day it is about 3 things. BA, RUN SCORED & RBI's . WAR is for the fantasy dudes. Runs scored & RBI's are for W's And the facts are Alonso plates more guys than Judge. Do you understand he has RBI's in only 8 games in which he has not hit an HR that is NOT productivity

The reason he is still on the Yanks is he is 6'8 275 lbs and his Jersey is the #1 seller in MLB. And making the Bomber ownership alot of $$$. That does not equate to wins.

He's still on the Yankees and The Captain because he broke MLB's season HR record (non-steroids) that stood for about 60 years.

Head's up, but it's kinda hard to drive in runs other than by hitting a home run unless there are teammates on base when you are at bat. For most of the season the Yankees have been a little short in the "getting on base" department. It's one of the reasons some teams walk him so often.
