So I got curious to see if I could figure out the BBQ place that we enjoyed so much up in upstate NY and I did. It's this place:
Closed for the winter. LOL. And looking at the address in Google Maps shows how it's in the middle of nowhere. We were in Syracuse and drove down to the place because my former father in law, who was on the faculty at Syracuse for awhile, really liked it. And yeah, it was incredibly good, at least back when we went.
It has mostly decent reviews on trip advisor. Based on the photos at trip advisor, though, it appears it has been substantially built up since we were there. For sure, the roof over the picnic tables wasn't there. But I don't recall there being an indoor cooking area either back then. It was just oil drums and they were outdoors and uncovered unless my memory is totally wrong and/or I'm confusing with some other upstate NY place.
One review called it sad and said drive up to Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse. LOL. Opinions are like ********, everyone's got one.
