Cliff just swished a three

Caleb is either going to latch on at summer league and be a G-Leaguer or go overseas.

Cliff tested well (We knew that) game one was great for him, game 2 he was pretty invisible outside of the three.

I think is definitely a candidate for a invite but he might just miss out.

just wondering, do the underclassmen somehow keep up with classes during this process ? How long is this camp ?

Isn’t it only 2 days? I think it’s over now and a few of the top kids will get a combine invite. The combine isn’t that long either. I’d imagine the colleges have arrangements set up for zoom tutoring, etc. so the student athletes keep up when invited to these things.

Caleb was never a draft candidate and the only way for him to stand out at a camp like this would be to get lucky and hit a bunch of shots.

He’ll get a shot in the g-league though. Scouts understand this and saw that he was his usual solid self on D and there’s never any doubt about his ability on that end. To make a roster he’s going to need to demonstrate that he can blend in with an offense and not be a liability even if not a great score. That’s not happening in these camps though where everyone is looking to go Iso or make flashy plays.

G League: 13th-14th
NBA Combine: 15th-21st

Classes? Classes?
We talking about classes?

yeah, don't know. School is back 'in-person' and unlike season hoops road trips I think camps, combines and ongoing workouts preclude school completely.

I'm all for kids pursuing their dreams but if my sense of this commitment is true, I wonder how they keep up with school and maintain eligibility.

Fair point, but don’t players take summer classes to catch up on credits (minimum FT courseload fall and spring) ?

I’m sure he’s playing by the eligibility rules, but I do wonder what they are.

My summer grad school session at Camden doesn’t start until the end of the month.
