When the storm finally ceases, our City is left with over 2 feet of snow. P. Vanderbilt Spader, who records weather related statistics from the corner of George and Church Streets, comments that even old timers don’t recall anything this bad happening so late in April...

Sounds like this storm was measured by a "trained spotter" from the Metuchen village of then Woodbridge. Hmm.....
