Exactly, for some to take a shot at management or ownership is just stupid. Did I wish Diaz didn't play if I had a crystal ball, of course.Trout as well!

You're a colossal moron.
Or Yadier Molina? What's your take on DeRosa as the manager?
Trout vs Ohtani coming up
Team USA missed a few opportunities, and it seemed they did not understand the situation in the 7th inning. Turner was on 1st, and the next two batters never gave him a chance to steal second as both swung at the first pitch for outs to end the inning. Team USA never gave themselves a chance to tie the game. In the following inning, Japan allowed their guy to steal second in an attempt to score an insurance run. A more experienced coaching staff could manipulate several situations for more opportunities with better results.Offense came up small today. Missed a lot of hittable pitches. Mookie probably should have bunted lol
Zero reason for Moolkie Betts and Turner not stealingTeam USA missed a few opportunities, and it seemed they did not understand the situation in the 7th inning. I wouldn't have minded a little hit and run there.Offense came up small today. Missed a lot of hittable pitches. Mookie probably should have bunted lol
Couldn’t get into WBC due to Diaz injury. Loss still stings and probably will for entire season with a lot of “ what if we had Diaz”. “ what if he wasn’t injured “.
I’m not.Mets fans are going to cry about this all season aren't they.
Oh my God shut the **** up. The greatest lineup ever assembled couldn't beat Japan's pitching today. Take the L.One country sends sends the best of the best to play another sends just some of the best. You can't take the WBC seriously.
Where was the USA pitching? Was that the best pitching group that the USA could put together. No, not even close! Do you even understand baseball?? Apparently not!!Oh my God shut the **** up. The greatest lineup ever assembled couldn't beat Japan's pitching today. Take the L.
How about checking out the pitching staff for the US team. The Ace of the staff, most accomplished pitcher is 41 year old Adam Wainwright.I knew this would show up sooner or later…
It’s either the WORTHLESS BASEBALL CLASSIC or it’s THE US DIDNT HAVE ALL OF THEIR BEST PLAYERS TO THE TOURNAMENT.
Not the other teams fault that American pitchers didn’t want to pitch (which was understandable). How about checking out the pitching staff for the US team. The Ace of the staff, most accomplished pitcher is 41 year old Adam Wainwright.
I totally agree. Couldn't have cared less who won. My point is you can't take this event as being a serious event. Laughable that someone said it's going to be as big as the World Cup someday. It's a manufactured event to make TV $$ around the globe. Not the other teams fault that American pitchers didn’t want to pitch (which was understandable).

In one knockout game anything can happen. We only scored 2 runs after allFor pitchers this event is tough.
If we had our 10 best pitchers on this staff we ain’t losing.
He is 23, so we will have to wait at least two years before he is wearing Met pinstripes.Murakami-san! Get him in pinstripes asap please.
It may not be as big as the World Cup today obviously. It may 20, 30, 50 years down the line. You never know, esp in other countries.I totally agree. Couldn't have cared less who won. Only if the top players play from every country. The Premier League doesn't hold back their most important players. MLB teams did. Mostly pitchers who have huge contracts and are invaluable in the playoffs. It may not be as big as the World Cup today obviously. It may 20, 30, 50 years down the line. Some pitchers? My god you are an baseball idiot. The best pitchers in world didn't play. Take your own advise and STFU. Could have had a nice discussion but you went complete jackass on your 1st response to me.Who gives a **** that some pitchers sat out? It's tremendous baseball in March. It's a gift to baseball fans everywhere. You have to be outright obstinate not to admit that at this point. Every tournament is manufactured so I have no idea what that even means.
Hey,Only if the top players play from every country. The Premier League doesn't hold back their most important players. MLB teams did. Mostly pitchers who have huge contracts and are invaluable in the playoffs.
My issue isn't if people did or didn't enjoy it. My point is you can't say it will be a World Cup type of event if the best don't play. You are giving me a very small example of pitchers with success but you would be a fool comparing them to the best that the MLB has.Hey,happens for a reason but it was still a great tournament. And that 21 YO Nicaraguan pitcher wouldn’t gotten signed after striking out 3 all stars. Or that Czech Plummer who struck out Ohtani. Or the other Japanese pitchers who held other teams in check.

Wainwright is now injured and will start the season on the IL.How about checking out the pitching staff for the US team. The Ace of the staff, most accomplished pitcher is 41 year old Adam Wainwright.
