OT: Mike Brey not to USF

[fatsam98]

Seems a little odd on the surface. Guess he wanted some sunshine.

[kcg88]

Nice little paid retirement for him

[Degaz-RU]

Consolation prize for not getting the GTown job?

[ScarletDave]

South Bend Indiana and Tampa Florida are about as far away from each other on the weather and quality of life spectrum as you can find .. ones aesthetic is grey, brown and light brown, and one is tropical teal blue and sea foam green

[PatrickRU92]

sounds like he's just going to coast into retirement and pick up a check.

I'm sure he'll be HIGHLY motivated

[Mr_Twister]

USF AD Mike Kelly might be slightly Irish.

[Joey Bacala]

Cash grab at a non-factor school on the way to retirement. USF should know better.

[kupuna133]

But but but he retired and it was his choice to leave!!!!

Trend established by Rollie Massimino?

Just like Eddie...

[Mr_Twister]

Ex-Penn State coach Pat Chambers at FGCU. Does college basketball have the equivalent of Nick Saban, the Father Flanagan of football coaches looking to resurrect their fortunes?

[RU-AGK]

I call Mike Brey to help me make many of my important life decisions. Important stuff like, "Should I keep this million dollars I found in a suitcase on the side of the road or should I give it to you." Mike has never steered me wrong and his solutions always unburden my mind as he takes the load onto his own shoulders.

I'll call him tonight to find out what's up and report back what I find.

Unless he tells me not to.

[fatsam98]

Well, nevermind!

[red sail]

Couldn’t happen to nicer D****bag. F Brey

[BigRnj]

Chris Christie as his recruiting manager…. Make it happen

[RCBeta79]

The FDU job is open!

Met a bunch of self important ********. Brey and Boeheim are at the top of the list.

[fatsam98]

The FDU job is open!

Haha it's actually not though

[malaka27]

The FDU job is open!

That spot is closed for him now too

[Plum Street]

Brey will be good on tv.

“Did you see that basket went through on st Patrick’s day?”

[Russ Wood]

Brey was going to USF. He told someone that one of my sources talks to.

However, Brey didn't know that there was a clause in his agreement with ND that would cost him about $3 million if he took another coaching job this year. He wasn't going to lose out on that money and USF was not going to offset $3 million on top of his salary.
