This might be starting a thread on a similar topic (why does B1G underperform...), but...

What happens next year when we have 16 teams?

A simple 16 team bracket where we ask #1 to play 4 games over 4 days?

How do you fit 8 games in to 1 day?

It shows 5 days. Maybe 1,2,3,4 get to play on Wednesday while 5,6,7,8 play on Thursday.

The ACC (and maybe others) has this issue already, but still arranges it so that some teams get days off (I've seen some hilarious "brackets" drawn up on the NC State board). I can't believe the B1G wouldn't do the same, although I am against it; I hate giving so many advantages unless necessary, and generally think there is too much seeding in sports...

I'd assume it will be this if it's going to stay at 5 days:

Day 1
9 vs 16
10 vs 15
11 vs 14
12 v 13

Day 2
4 games -- 5-8 seeds play Day 1 winners

Day 3
4 games -- 1-4 seeds play Day 2 winners

Day 4
Semi finals

Day 5
Final

Yeah, it's simply a money-grab anymore (TV needs content and will pay handsomely). In a perfect world these would have disappeared, although there was a day when they mattered and people cared...

I suggest bowling style, 16 vs 15, winner of that plays 14, winner of that plays 13 and so on. A good ol 15 day tournament

So it would look the same as we do now, but instead of bottom 4 teams being forced to play Wednesday it will be the bottom 8
