I couldn't get tickets in the RU section. I had to get PSU IDs from people at work to get tickets and sit in THEIR section! Oh how sweet it was to win!! Best atmosphere EVER!!

I had transferred in to RU as a soph for the 88-89 season…. I also remember freezing my *** off for tickets! Sat about three rows behind the RU bench.

Playbacks of the game don’t do justice for just how loud and awesome it was in the RAC that day!

So fortunate to say I was at this game, the Halloween VT football game, and the Louisville game! Three of the 4 best RU sports events of all time!

Wasn’t old enough for the “paint chips falling from the ceiling” game at the Barn during the Final Four year!

I was a junior and froze while waiting on line at 6:00 AM and got shut out, which kind of pissed me off because I went to almost every game the two and a half seasons before that, and me my roommates always had most of the student section to ourselves...everybody jumped on the bandwagon, but that's ok. Before the days of the internet (obviously), so we drove to PSU and bought tickets from them in person at the box office. Stood for the entire game in the last row of Section 306. Best sporting event ever, later tied by the L'ville football game.

loudest continuous and best atmosphere I have ever witnessed at the RAC

because of the reduction in capacity and because you wont have opposing teams fans given at least 20% of the seating it will never have that kind of experience again

There were also about 3500 students in the house that night.

Driving to State Penn for tickets is serious dedication!

With the 2006 Louisville Football game, still one of my top RU attended events of all time. My ears were ringing for 3 days after that game ... amazing!

It was my freshman year, and I wasn't in the pep band that year. My brother went to the semifinals and I watched them at his friends' apartment. He got home at who-knows-when and came to my dorm to pick up my student ID to head over to the RAC and get tickets. We were on the side court wedged in with a zilion other students. When the game ended, Anthony Duckett was sitting on a rim and threw a red sweatshirt into the crowd near me. A bunch of us grabbed it... ST JOHN'S??? Whatever! We all tore it to pieces using keys and whatever else to help. I still have my piece of the sweatshirt. I saw it a couple of weeks ago while cleaning out some things.

The seasons that ended in '89, '90' and '91 have special importance to me. They were the only years that any significant other of mine also loved RU basketball, so we could watch games together and go to a few. She wasn't necessarily a basketball fan, but she rooted strongly for RU apparently because she really liked Craig Carter's hair. If that's what it took to get her interested in RU hoops and to want to attend games, it was all good.

Rode the bus to my HS baseball game listening to the NCAA game against Iowa on a walkman

I probably mentioned it earlier here, but I slipped the ticket collector at the RAC entrance $20 along with my ticket to let my roommate enter.
