They have @Maryland and Illinois next. They could be 5-10Uphill battle for PSU now. Lots of bubbles lost today. Wiscy in much better shape. Thought PSU would get them today. Where was Funk? Will PSU play with nothing to lose now or be devastated?
15,000 is ok. Purdue, IU, Illinois... etc. have similar capacities but they are great venues. Its a pro style arena that makes it bad. Sightlines (and acoustics) suck because its designed for ice hockey first. Should have just designed a larger version of rec hall with modern amenities. Same can be said for OSU, Wisconsin, Nebraska... etc. Dumb decision by corporate types in university leadership.Always has been. It was so dumb to build a cavernous 15,000 seat arena in the middle of nowhere in a town of 40,000. They struggle to draw on weekends let alone week nights when most of your fan base is a two hour drive. Penn State only average 600 fewer than Rutgers but the atmosphere is night and day different. Rutgers is smart never moving out of the RAC.
Yes!!! Good comparisonIt's the Badger way like Happ
I HATE that play. Offender displaces defender and it's no call. Horrible and they made it even worse this year by calling flops if the defender falls.Back to back plays where offensive shoulder into defenders chest. One is a no call and one is a defensive foul
Where is 60's guy? Lol
Obviously want to win them all but this is the game I would mind losing the least of the remaining schedule. Especially if a potential bid for Wake remains in play.Wisconsin will be tough at the Kohl Center, they can nail the 3 and that is our bugaboo
Wisconson has lost 3 out of their last 5 games. Am I missing something here?Did they just say Wisconsin won 18 of the last 19? Ouchhh
Yes, you are missing that stat is in the Wisconsin vs Penn State series. PSU won on January 30, 2021. That's it since March 11, 2011.Wisconson has lost 3 out of their last 5 games. Am I missing something here?

Not covering the 3 is our bugaboo.Wisconsin will be tough at the Kohl Center, they can nail the 3 and that is our bugaboo
That might be curtains or at best a call to hospiceThey have @Maryland and Illinois next. They could be 5-10
Wisconsin has two shooters in Hepburn and Essegian.Wisconsin will be tough at the Kohl Center, they can nail the 3 and that is our bugaboo
All true but really didn’t look it last night.Wisconsin has two shooters in Hepburn and Essegian.
Wahl 25%
Crowl 27%
Davis 31%
Klesmit 34% (30% in conference play)
Those guys can all fire away.
Even in a down year, the Badgers are always good on the road. They are 4-4 on the road this year. Last year they won an amazing 9 road games.Big win for Wisconsin
I still think we have a decent shot at winning there. They looked very good last night and PSU was not bad, the Badgers were just better. I was also a little surprised to hear they have 5 Q1 wins already.Wisconsin will be tough at the Kohl Center, they can nail the 3 and that is our bugaboo
I know you have Villanova and Pitt on either side of you, but how on Earth is Penn State basketball support SO pathetic compared to football?! You can't completely explain it with just usually having worse teams. Illinois football has one of the worst modern track records in the nation, but if you give us a sliver of hope, we'll have over 50k to 55k in the stands (80-90% capacity). That would be a comparative attendance for PSU basketball of 12,000 to 14,000 ... and they VERY rarely seem to sell more than 10,000 tickets.Quite the dead arena! Loads of empty seats.
It is very strange that their hoops program doesn’t get the support. It may be that their support goes to hockey in the winter because their Hockey program if I’m not mistaken was in the top 5 in the country a few years back. PSU Hockey is ranked #8 right nowI know you have Villanova and Pitt on either side of you, but how on Earth is Penn State basketball support SO pathetic compared to football?! We will likely get smacked I would assume. PSU is undefeated #1Oh right!!! I forgot they have a bunch of Natl champions too in wrestling!!! Good call
Speaking of which I think we have a Head to head with them this weekend! How do we match up this year? Will we get smacked around?
