Can people finally STFU about MSG now?

I thought so.

Maybe that's a FOX issue, but I also didn't think the in game production sounded as good.

For me, there's something different about the RAC. Big plays happen and you can barely hear yourself think even through the TV. The announcer at the RAC. The immediate turnover on the other end. It's just different.

It's like opponents needs to survive a series of daggers from all angles to pull out a win. This just didn't have that feeling to it (IMO).

With that said, I did think the crowd was great. You could hear RU chants, let’s go Rutgers chants, etc.
FS1 always seemed to mute the crowd noise more than BTN. Guessing it’s the same for FOX.

thats fine, we can disagree.... I just thought the whole experience of being there, in front of 15,000 fans
was well worth it.....

we an always play at the RAC... playing and winning at the garden is different.....and was really nice.
yep, agree to disagree.

Someday we might not play at the RAC. I just want to soak it up as much as I can while we're on this run.

It has to be an audio setting or something with those broadcasters.

Didn't BTN have to replace some microphones because of the RAC a couple years ago? Or am I making that up?

Definitely for audio setting. Not sure about the mics

You really think the committee is tracking every resume nuance of every team? You think they know this should be a Q1 win instead of a Q2 win?
I think many of them were watching the game on Fox today. Maybe a few of them even came to the game . . .

I suppose I just don't think we necessarily need approval from NYC in any way. I couldn't care less if a New Yorker knows we're good or not (recruits aside, obviously).

Anyone that's shocked about RU fans traveling to see winning teams is oblivious. RU has always traveled well.

We gave up some of our home advantage and got nothing in return. There's literally no benefit to it. Perhaps I'll feel differently if it's marked as a neutral site game, but as of right now it's a home game.

I think we got alot from this. Great trip for fans..kids playing in the worlds most famous arena…and getting experience playing in a big time neutral floor. Plus the win…..awesome day

Oh brother. All’s well that ends well.
he cannot admit that the day wound up being a net positive

yes, just be thankful we won, or we would never hear the end of it/

speaking of that, I hope that the home/garden issue will be finished up by the end of today

I’m not saying I’m against MSG. Just that I’m against it for conference games.

There are better ways to do it.

Hell even if you want to go conference game, do it for the opponent you only play once this season (Purdue) and call it a neutral floor.

They gave MSU a distinct advantage over RU this season by allowing them to play us at home and having us play at MSG.

Just my opinion.

We so almost lost this game Down at the half. We shot. worst free throw line All year. Poor shooting from field. We got no calls.. Can not justify the bullet we dodged.

Other the the Purdue win, this is the single best thing for Rutgers this year (other than Mag getting hurt).

You are wearing this entire board the phuck out. We just won a nationally televised game at MSG. We are in 2nd place in the big. The only thing to be pissy about right now is Mowats injury. Have a coke and a smile…

Thrilled and hear you but hardly wearing people out. Should have been at RAC. Shouldn’t have been this close

Nope. Noise was loud and proud. Sometimes even more than RAC. And I listen from Wisconsin.
it was loud, in person. It didn’t seem louder than the RAC to me but like I said I was up in the second level which might be why.

The other poster that I replied to indicated it seemed quieter on tv though

I am very!! But last two times we won by 20 + and 30+ at the RAC!! This could have been a disaster and almost was.

Don’t do it again. So not worth it.

We should all celebrate!!! But we gave away a lot unnecessarily and almost had devastating loss. Losing at half time….

Don’t say Garden is so great… please.

GO RU!

Exactly. Might have been the biggest reason I wanted to win this game, lol.

You don't lose a game at the half. RU has been down at the half multiple times this year and won games.

I can’t believe the negative stuff here

Getting a game in a pro arena with different feel and sight lines Is huge for us …huge , if we want to make a run in March

I can only hope we are playing here again in 7 weeks from right now …..
