On pregame show Donny marshall said Michigan state would win because they know how to play at MSG . And the fans in red were really St. John’s fans.
The play by play guy also kept saying we had beat Michigan state earlier this season

Now you're being childish and not really sure why. I never call anyone out for what they say in game threads and get annoyed when others do it, like you are here. If it's because of my thread about MSG, my thread would've been made regardless of all the whining in the game thread about it, as there were a bunch of threads and hundreds of posts about it before the game.

Cam did get stuffed and he let that happen, IMO, by not using his left hand. I also don't think I was overly critical of our guys in the first half either. Just critical, where appropriate, like calling out 1-12 guard shooting and missed layups and FTs. Anything else you want to discuss about the game thread? Maybe your prediction that Oskar was "about to break out" for RU, lol?

I had no bad takes in the game thread that I'm aware of and I also said nobody should be counting this as a loss at halftime - and frankly thinking we can't win down 6 at the half is just stupid. It happens. Houston was a 5 seed in the south regional last year. Definitely an advantage when they got to play 1 seed AZ in a TX arena. Would love to see RU in the east and get to MSG

I would love it too. But it would be a huge disservice to the 1 seed.

UConn won the East in 2014 w Kemba Walker (over MSU actually) at MSG. I was at that game. RU is no more of a home team than they are. If UCONN gets out of slump , committee might still steer them in to East (like the early season projections)..
If RU keeps winning, Albany pod is likely for early rounds, & either East or West Regionals..

game atmosphere

so, he looks not so smart, right out of the gate

I actually have no problem with this, or some of the other announcers....it is tough to reverse previous bias..... MSU is a long term big ten team, we are still making ourselves

If you want to pick on a big ten tv guy, you can also point to Stephen Bardo in the studio...

two years in a row, RU had a late lead against Purdue......

both games, with not much time left, he said Purdue would come back and win the game, when the other two guys thought RU

What was this guy drinking? I went back and watched the beginning of the broadcast and he said “if you never been to a MSU game at MSG, that is a home game for them, more than Rutgers, trust me. We‘be been in that building a lot, I’ve played in that building…they have a great following Michigan State. This is a home court advantage there today. I hate to say this to my people in Piscataway, Michigan State knows how to play in that building.”

when it was pointed out that the stands had people in red he said “those our St. John’s fans who got tickets”.

As far as knowing how to play in that building, the host said “it hasn’t translated in wins, Michigan State is only 4-15 at the Garden”
