Bored on the train back. Any reports on the food? Had a hot dog (excellent) and a pretzel (as bad as the Rac). And they gave me a friggin Diet Pepsi. I hate that. If I wasn’t squeezed in my seat I would have gotten it switched.

usually get food in Penn before heading upstairs..did my sausage/mushroom slices at Don Pepi, before game actually. Was hoping for Krispy Creme donut before hopping on train back, but would have been pressed to make 2:55.
the only disappointment of the day...:)

I unfortunately had to miss today’s game - out of state on family business. But, I go to a fair amount of NY Rangers games and always find the food at MSG to be pretty good.

MSG is a first rate arena. Always have had excellent experiences there. Ushers are particularly nice and helpful

Great Bloody Mary’s at nice new bar at new Moynahan Station if you wanted to venture outside and across the street. Didn’t open until 11:00 so cut it close. But worth it.

So I felt a little sleezy doing it, but the Walgreens right next to that bar had Miller Lite tall boys 2 for $5. My friends and I sat in the bar with those for an hour after seeing the actual bar prices.

you had a hot chocolate? It’s noon somewhere. Sushi is ok there. It’s on the rotation at the Delta Sky360 club.

Daily Burger and Fuku Spicy Chicken are the best options for sure. Paulie Gees is also great in a pinch. For the quality it's all well worth the price. Beer prices aren't half bad either for what you get.

Beer prices much better than Citi and Yankee. More expensive than the RAC.
Wasn’t outrageous at all.

4000 restaurants in NYC and you guys eat at an arena?
3700 of those aren’t near the Garden, 275 of the others probably weren’t open early enough, and the remaining 25 were mobbed by drinkers, not eaters. A noon start on a single-digit-temperature day diminishes the appeal of whatever eating options exist. That said, I didn’t eat at the Garden.

There is a great indoor/outdoor bar in the Renaissance Hotel right by MSG if it was a later tip-off and 45+ degrees.

prices were worse than Yankee Stadium, but the burger my son got was really really good. It had grilled onions for a nice white rose system flavor.

had a beer there then walked down through the flat iron district for an early dinner after the game. Had Tex/Mex at Javelina near Union Square, good food, reasonable price.

One pretzel and one Sierra Mist 7 bucks each, with tax, 15.21.......one stop at the diner before heading into NYC covered the food aspect.

For the amount of times I'm at MSG, yes I eat there sometimes. Especially when they do half price food.

Also not for nothing, but out of those 4,000 restaurants, 1,000 are the same tired *** gastropubs.

For me it's a flashback to when I was a student and went to the Big East tournament. Gotta relive the entire experience.
