He has us as Albany then Vegas.

I'll allow it.
"Thanks but no thanks" lol...I know, I know...man I use to love Vegas but then prices tripled on everything in like a 5-year span and stopped going. Would typically do 4-5 3-night weekends/year from '98 to 2007 or so? Anyway would be idiotic of the NCAA to not have us in the East if we're a 5-seed IMHO.

Man....this would be HEAVENLY....Albany followed by MSG??!!! Dear Sweet Baby Jesus I'll stop curing on these boards for an entire year IF this plays out!!!!
Agreed but Orlando and Vegas would be a wonderful consolation prize and tix probably easier.

Vegas probably not...Orlando I'd think so and we probably have close to 40K alumni in Florida now (it was around 20K in the early 00's).

Yeah, not sure how much thought goes into places 5+ seeds into the regions to be honest. In theory, a 5 seed shouldn't be making the 2nd weekend. I'd think by that point it's more about making the regions "fair", avoiding conference rematches etc.

Fingers crossed though

Vegas is crazy expensive, but there are ways to reduce the cost. I went out to Vegas around Christmas in 2021 with a group of 4 and rented an Air BnB for a fraction of what it would cost for a hotel on the stripe. We were 20 minutes from the stripe in a beautiful house. The house was a five-bedroom, five-bathroom, rec room, movie room, huge kitchen, pool, and putting green off the back patio. It cost us $250 a night.

NO question this is the way I'd go now!

This year I believe is the first year Vegas hosting the NCAAs regional as opposed to conference tourneys and guessing trial run for eventually hosting the Finals in the Raiders stadium.

Perfect storm during first week of huge convention, NCAAs and St. Patrick’s day on a Friday drove prices to insane levels.

Wow! That’s a ridiculously good deal. Probably more comfortable than a hotel too.

Vegas will not be that expensive..already have super cheap room reserved on strip for Wed/Thur night 3/22-24.. if RU got to a regional final there, only need to stay one weekend night(Fri). regional final is on Sat, can take Redeye that night...
Also have room reserved the previous week on WOLF road in Albany,... as well as plane tickets held on points to Orlando...
Vegas is great place for regionals, so may go for sweet sixteen there anyway if RU is out. Last year went to San Diego, even after RU loss, as its another great tourney location...

Hotels everywhere are expensive. Even in Mexico. Was in Miami Thursday night and paid $1,500 for a night at 1.
