RAC Green Lot Parking Question

I posted this in the Ticket and Parking Pass thread as well, for anyone that might have first hand knowledge.
I’m taking my 89 year-old parents to a home game. My father can only walk a very short distance, even with a cane. They have a handicap sticker. Question, can I pay to get into the Green Lot on game day, or would I need to buy a parking pass in advance? Once I’m in the lot, can I just park in a handicap spot, or do I need a special handicap parking pass? Thanks for any input.

You will need to call the ticket office well in advance to get a handicap parking pass, if there are any still available. Be prepared to provide a copy of your state-issued handicap permit.

you need to buy a green lot pass, you can’t pay a fee and just enter
The handicap spaces nearest the RAC fill up early

I know that I've been told that the Green lot and ADA spots are totally full. I know it's only a help on the way in, but you can drop your father off in front of the RAC off Rockefeller Rd. (pulling up to the barricade). I'm not sure if there is a good solution on the way out, but maybe if you're parked in the yellow lot, you can come up Rockefeller and pick him up there too.

I think this might be the best option. I was told that I could drop him off by the barricade planters near the entrance. If I then park somewhere in the yellow or green, hopefully they let me back up there to pick him up.

I did this with my father and it worked great. The security guard was very helpful. And personally I think it's closer than the handicapped spots (I did pick him up on the way out as well. We stayed for a while after the game so I was able to get back down).

Definitely take your time leaving the gym. Stay for the alma-mater mill around the lobby for 15-20 mins That will make the drive back towards the RAC easier

Good luck, it’s hit or miss with the security guards and parking lot attendants.
Everybody’s usually nice, but some are very helpful and some follow the letter of the rule, which is to not let you do what common sense says you should be able to do.
The handicap drop off is a discrace.
They don’t have a good formal solution.
So it’s up to the whim of the person you bump into.

I am a season ticket holder and can send you my Green Parking Pass for the Nebraska game.

Next, I would call the Athletic Director’s Office and ask them for help with parking in the VIP lot close to the entrance for the Nebraska game.
How thoughtful!! I would gladly accept, and I will do as you suggest. I don’t know how to DM. Would you be able to DM me?

I need an email or mobile number to transfer the Green parking pass to you from the Rutgers Tickets portal.

I don't do twitter.
Does anyone know how NJBound1 can send me a DM message, so I can transfer the parking pass?

Anyone with premium can start a private conversation with both of you to allow you guys to communicate, although obviously whoever starts the conversation will also see the info. I could do this for you or maybe you'd rather have a mod do that for you - let me know if you want me to do that. Not sure why there's that limitation on the site, but I can't change that.

No problem at all, conversation started. You'll hopefully see a superscript "1" above the "conversation" icon, the one that looks like a conversation "bubble" just to the left of the notifications icon (the "bell").
