I know people here call it a dump, but I still want to see a game in the Palestra. I have never been.

Calling the Palestra is like calling Fenway a dump. Ridiculous.

They prefer to cheer for an out of state team

Sure, most people are front runners, it takes a lot of intestinal fortitude to like a perennial loser which is why most don't do it. Flip the script and most would jump on board. A lot of the psu fans in NJ never went there or have stepped foot on their campus, just like most ND fans.

Philly media hates NJ

They cover pen st because it’s their State Team, even though RU is much closer

Shoot, the Philly media hates Temple. They rather talk Penn State than their own city team.

Eh, it’s where we’re located. They grew up in a Philly - Pennsy media market and that’s what they were force fed. Hell, even when I was a kid growing up in Central NJ, the weekly PSU Joe Pa show was on our cable outlets while we were trying to play Tennessee and Colgate on the same schedule.

Can we stop pretending Rutgers has embraced South Jersey in any way? Want more support down there? Actively go after it.

Are you? I never once said you said the Palestra was a dump. I never once named you in this post either. People in this thread are talking about RU's presence in SJ, but no one wants to talk about the real reason Penn State dominates the region.
