Problem. This might be over early and no Knicks or Rangers.

BTW, I didn't know that Brad Pitt played QB for the Chargers.

If the 1983 NFL Draft is best known for his high caliber of QBs drafted in the first round (Marino, Elway, Kelly, etc...), then on the other spectrum has to be the 2021 Draft class of QB's, not one of them looks like they're going to be an elite QB and their FIVE of them taken in the first 15 picks.

It’s still early yet to write them all off yet. But not looking good. Lawrence’s first playoff game I believe he will get better, remember Eli’s. QB is such a tuff position people want immediate results. I remember listening to Francesca he said it was Parcells I believe said it takes a QB 40 games for coaches to know what they have in them. Nowadays it seems 2 seasons at best

I knew Logan Ryan was toast on Giants when Herbert threw a TD on him 65yds in the air.
The guy has a tremendous arm and knows the game
In fact Gentleman wanted to draft him but Herbert decided to stay at Oregon.

Compared to 80s a lot of free agency moves guys around
High contracts and injuries ravage rosters.
Only a few of the best coaches do well with QBs
Guys like Lawrence come off the super talented teams in college and dont always payoff out of the box
OL can barely block the super-juiced DL and many flop (Flowers, Hernandez and others)
No more FBs, and RBs struggle blocking
Put Herbert on Daboll Giants and Jones on Jags and see...

49ers use a FB and it works. In a copycat league I expect more teams to try. KC uses it occssionally

There's at least two of them. Trey Lance was looking like he had the potential to be one before he got his ankle broken in week 2. And Lawrence just showed it today.

FWIW Francesa said a few weeks ago that Lawrence is on verge of becoming the super star people expected.
Have to mention Geno Smith
Dude was awesome passer at WV (he was in Heisman talk)
Then he got drafted by Rex "NoOffense" Ryan and the Jets 10 years ago
Now he looks like WV passer again

My San Diego group chat called this at half time 😂😂

My one buddy just texts “collapse imminent” lol

“You can take the Chargers out of San Diego, but you can’t take the San Diego out of the Chargers”

Then in 1984, I believe there were no QBs picked in the 1st round

Anyone else have the Jags ML? I was on the verge of turning it off but then once it was 27-7 at H I figured I’d see if Jax could get it to 27-14. Was locked in from there obviously.
