My friend brought his 2.5 y o grandson to the Maryland game at the RAC. The grandson had a GREAT time!
Currently scheming to head to the game. Convinced the Mrs. it’s a birthday trip to the City. She saw right through it but is OK with the plan anyway!
You know your kid better than us.
Depends on them.
My 4 yo has little patience for games.
Older guy liked soccer/bb/ and even random high school hockey games as young as 2.
Couple tips though if it’s your first time bringing him to a sporting event.
Bring:
Ear protection (not plugs…big bulky kind) may/may not wear it but they are clutch.
Some small toys just in case. We bring like 2 match box size cars. Small enough to play with seats to break it up for them.
Plenty of snacks (of course right?)
I guess I misunderstood some posts here. You can only buy tickets through Rutgeres if you're a basketball season ticket holder? That's stupid. Ticketmaster fees are the worst.
I'm there with four others. It's my birthday weekend, so I expect all of you to buy me drinks.

Mine through Ticketmaster. I gave Rutgers the option but I needed 25 tickets so they told
Me to to Ticketmaster.
Had to have 4 people buy them as the limit was 8

Where did you find the info about Stout? I heard about it but didn't see an email come across

I bought three today from my ticket representative at RU. I bought the $ 100 tickets so I can be on the sidelines close to the court. We are looking forward to it. I have had my season tickets for 34 years and have been attending RU B-Ball games since 1971 and have only missed 4 home games since 1977 when the RAC opened. GO RU.
I bought two tickets via Rutgers Season ticket holder option. Have not been to MSG since the Rutgers vs Iowa State NIT game.
In this thread alone there are about 135 tickets that were purchased. I think we'll end up with a good crowd.

Oh Wow...those are good seats through RU....I am in 200s as I bought through ticketmaster but had to buy 25 so was really the only option to put everyone together

Going with my wife. I was told by my ticket rep. that my $55 tickets will be in the 100s… either behind a basket or in the corner. Waited too long in order to purchase $100 seats.
Same here, $55 for 104 with no ticketmaster fees. Not complaining

I have had one child fine at that age, another who cried when the crowd got really loud
the wife and I will be there.....arranged for tickets through the Rutgers ticket office....
I know it is a pain to go to the garden when the RAC is so easy to reach...... but once you are at the garden and, if all goes well for RU, it is well worth the one time experience.....
it winds up being a plus for the program overall..... the fact that the game will be nationally televised shows that the game is elevated in stature..... it probably would not have been on tv nationally if just another league game
now, we just have to get it done.....game wise

I got some solid 200 level seats last week when they opened up a couple new sections.
I would keep checking I think they’ll continue to open more sections once they fill up the lower bowl.
