So your basing your opinion on NC State losing to Maryland with their 4th string QB and 6 starters out.

Syracuse losing to Minny by a TD when Syracuse had 450 yards to Minny’s 180. Without Shawn Tucker.

UNC losing to Oregon 28-27.

Florida st beating Oklahoma
Duke beat UCF 30-13
Wake beat Mizzouri 27-14
Louisville blowing out Cincy 28-7
Pitt beat UCLA with 8 starters out and their back up QB.

Ok lol

Most teams are pretty mediocre these days
I cant even get interested in the bowls so far
The portal, leaving early for NFL, injuries etc - cfb just seems like an ocean of mediocrity
Even when teams seem good they cant last a whole season
Once teams are ranked all the weaker teams play them harder

No one cared we had starters out for the entire year. You are what you record says.

2-5 vs P5 schools

Cali right
It’s downright atrocious

Bad football with deadweight teams not pulling their weight and schools not anywhere near fully invested in moderately successful football

Bad combination

Would you prefer Schiano ? Curious.
Over Narduzzi? Yes any day of the week. Hands down Schiano. I may not have thought he was the right hire the second time around (never a fan of retreads) I think he a solid coach. His teams play hard, they are consistent and always play solid defense. He represents himself and the school well. He a better recruiter than Narduzzi but needs to be less of a control freak and let an OC do his thing. Narduzzi on the other hand is the college version of the overly self important gym teacher coach. His teams are inconsistent. They can beat almost anyone but are guaranteed to lose a few games that they should never lose. There a reason why this is only the second time his teams have lost fewer than 5 games. He runs his mouth and can’t seem to recruit.

OP is correct. Outside of Clemson the league is hot garbage and even Clemson is coming back down to earth.

I’m basing it on what I see. Clemson was the epitome. Bunch of mediocre to bad teams.

Narduzzi is a clown. I wouldn’t want him anywhere near RU.

Guy is a total meathead.

I do think FSU is on the rise and Clemson back to earth.
Noles defense has serious holes
Lit up against UF & OU in consecutive games

They open with LSU in Orlando so Wel see real quick what they’re made of

Until they dethrone Clemson, you have to go w CU as the favorites

Outside of those 2 though, the league is absolute garbage

LOL!!!!

If any coach and staff is overrated it is Penn State.

Take a look at the recruits that Pitt gets (Rival 3-star) compared to Penn State. (Rival 5/4 star).

Narduzzi will take a Rival 3-star player(Aaron Donald, Kenny Pickett etc.) and coach and develop them into great players. Currently he coached/developed a Rival 3-star WR (Jorden Addison) who won the Biletnikoff Award in 2021. This year he coached/developed another Rival 3-star RB Ziggy Abanikanda (1437 rushing yds and 20 TD) who will be leaving for the NFL with 2 years eligibility remaining (stay and maybe wins Heisman).

Last year Pitt was 11-3 and this year 9-4 and Narduzzi accomplished this with Rival 3-star recruits.

Last year Penn State was 7-6 and this year 10-2 and Jimmie accomplished this with Rival 5/4 star players.

Rutgers needs a coach like Narduzzi because Rutgers is similar to Pitt in that they will have to win with Rival 3-star players.

Additionally, Pitt produced more players that made it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and NCAA College Football Hall of Fame than Penn State with all your Rival 5/4 Star players.

NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame Players:

University of Pittsburgh: 9
Penn State University: 6

NCAA All American Hall of Fame Players:

University of Pittsburgh: 26
Penn State University: 20

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

You have to give Greg a couple of more years. However, he has to get the right OC and DC for the program to be successful. Like many on this board I am waiting to see who the new OC will be or will he just announce Nunzio.

Times are changing college football with NIL and Transfer Portal and everyone will have to adapt.

Uhhh, what does hall of famers have to do with what’s current? The last time Penn state played Pitt at Heinz field both HC’s were in place and Penn state won what? 51-6? ESPN has Penn state in the rose bowl on right now…. But if you wanna call that overrated whatever helps you sleep at night

Maybe it's my inner-ACC showing, after being an ACC guy for so long, but I wouldn't call it garbage. It's always got a bunch of teams with talented but thin rosters, who can hang around #20-25 (and of course, there were stretches where Florida State/Clemson and, at one point, Virginia Tech were usually in the Natty conversation). Not every league can say that...

1. Last time I checked players are recruited not assigned to teams. Essentially you are saying because Narduzzi can’t recruit he deserve lower expectations. So the 3 star player excuse is really lame.

2. Narduzzi in his 8th year. Why are you completely ignoring the other six years. Even playing in the weakest division of any P5 bragging about 9-4 is really weak. He lost to a terrible Georgia Tech team that fired their coach.

No one arguing Pitt has not produced talented players. The problem is even with those talented players Pitt fails to put together a good team. It been 40 years since Pitt had a team finish in the top 10. You rag on Franklin but he has produced 3 top 10 finishes.

I understand that but Narduzzi didn’t take over the train wreck that Schiano took over.
Excuses, don’t think Narduzzi ever list to UNH. GS knew the job, this is the Big 10, you have to bring some a_ s to kick some a_s. GS knew what he was getting into, no excuses, win or go home. 4 teams I will be watching in 2023(“ ( Mich State, Nebraska, Colorado and Illinois). Similar situation you us, who will be bowl eligible at the end of the season. Year 3 for GS, can’t blame it on the previous regime, lets see what ge can do.
