Unfortunately he ended the season in a free fall losing 7 out of his last 8 games including another embarrassing defensive performance (Kansas is the last ranked defense in the Big 12) against a mediocre 6-6 Arkansas team that dressed a decimated roster of only 51 scholarship players due to opt outs and transfer portal losses.
He also beat Texas last year. He’s doing a great job at Kansas. I wish we played in games like I see them playing. They are fun to watch and are clearly well coached.
I mean, I would argue that not trusting your offense to try to score with 1:33 on the clock and 3 time outs in a 7 point game just before halftime that we wound up losing by 6 would fall under the same level of aggregious…. Though NOTHING will ever be more pathetic to me than the patented ‘rush the offense while they’re taking a knee’ that Greg has made famous. That doesn’t even address the 3 QB’s in 3 snaps to open the season fiasco…. God almighty Greg Schiano needs to get the hell out of here. This is going to end very Randy Edsall-esque

Additionally like 8 players on MSU were suspended for our game.. Iowa had no offense whatsoever this year either. We had the perfect setup, weak OOC schedule to ensure 3 early wins. Iowa with no offense, no wisconson this year, Nebraska firing their coach mid season, msu turning into a dumpster fire, the table was SET! If we can’t win under those conditions in year 3, we simply can’t win with this staff
Lol - a 1 point win v a reeling 4-6 Texas team at the time in overtime while giving up 56 points. In more recent times Texas blew them off the field this year 55-14.

I was countering his silliness with more silliness. Bad throw by the QB, but that happens from time to time. God forbid if one of our QBs make a couple of errant throws, they get crucified.
You can see how tentative the QBs are and how often they throw it away. It's probably why Simon got benched because he turned the ball over too much. As we saw with Teel and Nova, for some QBs, they have to learn to read the defense and fit balls into tight windows. Probably also why Snyder elected to leave. He's a gun slinger and is not afraid to chuck the rock into small windows. It showed yesterday, and he nearly had a couple of picks, but they won. There is a saying in the fire service that COULD apply: Risk a little to gain a little, risk a lot to gain a lot (deep pass). At Rutgers, the saying is, don't take any risks, the ball is the program.
I actually don’t disagree. Coaching lost us those 2 games. I also think the Iowa game could have been a hell of a lot closer.

just spin the losses against Neb and MSU into wins- and both could have been, and a 6 win season, going to a bowl this year would have been at least 2 games above what most people predicted. It would have been a great season.
Snyder elected to leave because he was falling to 3rd on depth chart and fighting Simon for that.
