One day short of the 50th anniversary of his Immaculate Reception catch,the Fort Dix born,NFL HOF'er has passed.

Was a signal sent to us from the Great Beyond by the ending of the Raider-Patriot game this past Sunday?

If he was that great a guy I hope he's in heaven, disappointed that he can't find his scumbag college football coach whom he openly wept for on TV and declared a saint when he was accused (and it was obvious) of turning a blind eye to child rape. Because that dirtbag is in Hell.

Just listened to his interview with Mad Dog yesterday. Eerily, his last words when the interview ended were “be well”.

Geez...PSU had a few running backs in the pipeline back then. Can you imagine having Franco and Lydell both playing at the same time...John Cappelletti in the wings???? Indeed, RIP Franco.

I think Tatum only would have overlapped with Franco for 1 year. He and Bruce Jankowski (Fair Lawn) were both 3 year starters for the Buckeyes in the same class.

Theissman played in Rutgers Stadium for the annual South River v New Brunswick Thanksgiving football games during the 1960s.

One of my Favorite players when I was a front running 10-ish year old Steelers fan.

(Later I grew up and started rooting for the home team Iggles)
