Great footwork, beautiful offensive move!!!

[RUBlackout]

Love it!!

Today's players would do so well to study Kevin McHale's footwork in the post. Every so often Paul's moves are reminiscent of McHale's--especially last year's 31-point game against Northwestern--and he'd be almost unstoppable when it's just Paul and one defender.

Sooo agree! A player who can master McHale’s footwork will do damage!

If a HOFer can be under rated that's Kevin Mchale.

This is fun for me. Loved watching him. Talk to my HS lax players (attack/x attack) to look at his tape. Hips.

Just watched redeem team on Netflix
Wow affirmation of team basketball
And a reminder of how special Kobe was and what a great loss, the tragic death of Kobe was. His crash site is visible from my home here in California and my son, trained at what was once mamba academy.
If you haven’t watched it I highly recommend it

Can you imagine what Cliff could do with McHale footwork? He's still young.. all he needs is practice. Or the Chief's on D?

Just watched it. Was beter than I thought it would be. The guy who came across the best and who I was really impressed with was Dwayne Wade.

This could be the most impactful, one sided trade in NBA history. According to Basketball Reference, the Celtics worked out a trade with Golden State that involved mainly draft picks. The net result was Golden State got Joe Barry Carroll and Rickey Brown while the Celtics got both Robert Parrish and Kevin McHale.
In that same 1980 draft the Knicks picked Mike Woodson.

I thought that move looked more like the Dream Shake

Meh. It was good but he looks slow.

When PM makes those low post moves to get free for an easy shot, I say it's like an old man's game at the Y. Someone who just knows how to maneuver to get an open look without just exploding by his man. I mean it as a high compliment. There aren't a lot of college players able to do that.

If you speak with Paul, he'll tell you he learned his inside moves/footwork while playing playground ball against players older than him. He had to find a way to get shots off against them.

I know he has a bunch of siblings, are any of them older brothers? He plays like a guy who played a lot against older brothers who did not take it easy on him (in a good way).

Paul is the second oldest of six children. No older brothers, one older sister.

In fourth grade, he started playing against teenagers and adults at Hudson County Park. He became a good passer because that was the only way he'd get picked to play. If he shot too much, he'd never get on the court.

Love it. Kids just don't play outside enough anymore or with those mixed-age groups.
Win or get off the court is a great way to grow up a competitor - it shows with Paul
