Anyone still watching? The show has changed drastically from the early years but I thought this past season was actually pretty good. It was highlighted by an epic performance by a girl with one leg and the winner donating his entire 1 million dollar prize money to veterans causes. Really great way to end the season, especially considering he was the underdog to win of the final 3

Thought this season was great, the entire cast was likeable for the most part....don't like they reduced it to 26 days. Go back to 39. And raise the prize. It was 1 million 20+ years ago. Should be 5 million by now.

Yes- still watching but almost stopped after they felt “ come in guys” was unacceptable.
Also noticed they no longer have hot chicks on the show.
But this season did bring me back in a bit. It was enjoyable

Amazing Race is a great show
I like amazing race as well. It has changed a lot now that they do t rely on commercial flights. But still good.
Up until a few years back, I had always imagined the possibility of applying for Survivor. But now, with a bad back. Not crippling but would not allow me to do a lot of the survivor challenges well. That thought is gone…but, Amazing race- that could still be doable.
One thing I could never do- is do it with my wife.

I love Amazing Race, but the charter flights take away a huge part of the competition which was searching for flights and booking stuff in a variety of ways. I thought the red head Cass was pretty hot this season, but they definitely have gone away from that imo.

My wife is a world traveler but she's already said there is no way in hell she would be on my team...I'm ultra competitive and she is NOT.

If all your wife and you do is argue, they'd snap you up in a second. Reality shows are built on conflict.

Opened this thread thinking we were going to go in depth on the rock band. One of the greatest of all time.

Sorely disappointed.

No, nobody watches that nonsense anymore.

We do a lot of things great as a team- trying to put something together- not so much.

I will tell you this- if we ever did apply together- I do think they would snap us up. Quite a few people on here know us- and more than me, they know any show would cast my wife in a second- and as a couple- she and I may not “survive” Amazing race but, we would be pure gold.

Unwatchable in the last several years for the politics of this show
Agreed but this season they got rid of most of that. The payoff to the vets at the end was pretty cool as was the win by the old guy

This was pretty inspiring

Great season, particularly the finale

Not only did the winner donate the full $1M to vets, he did without using the word “I” — only we did this. That, and he didn’t mention it to a single castmate until after winning, rather than using it to try and win

Casting was pretty darn good this season — especially in the villain department

Last 2 winners were horrible and the “Come on guys” BS along with Jeff’s growing narcissism nearly made me leave it for good

But this season delivered in a lot of ways

In the past few season since after Covid- it seemed they tried too hard. Which included the casting.
This season, they just let it play out.

Was hoping this was going to be an announcement of a Follow-up song to their huge hit Eye of the Tiger...

I fell out of it after around season 14 and then got sucked back in for season 40 and then spent COVID watching through the series. Really have enjoyed the casts the last few seasons -- one of the people on this season is a friend of a friend so was really rooting for her this season and she ended up with a great arc.

Only watched 2 seasons years ago. The games were fun but the choosing who gets eliminated loses it for me.
Not sure what the "guys" issue was about but I actually have a problem with using it when referring to women. Just because it's common doesn't mean it's right.

It’s funny with the “guys” thing- I get it and actually try to consider it but it just means “group of you” to me.
If I do say it, I just hope I am not judged.

On the other hand, if you say “guys and girls” you are F’d too. Lol
As they are not girls, they are women or maybe the guys are not guys …

And most know, I am fairly liberal but this drives me crazy.

I have even been told that I should not ask someone’s preferred pronoun.

That’s why I just say “Hey, would you f*ckers like to go to dinner Saturday?”
Much easier and no one is ever offended.

I still watch. I can't stand the PC crap, but love the game, so I just grit my teeth during those points. As for the "Come on in guys", they really could have just started saying "Come on in" without the whole discussion etc. Who would have noticed or cared?

The show has gotten a lot right, evidenced by its longevity while running two seasons a year. The challenges are great and quite impressive that they are somehow fairly matched so the 100 pound barista, the 50 year old vacuum salesman, and 40 year butterfly breeder, can all complete and even beat the 220 pound former college football player.

The casts have changed tremendously too, whereas it used to be heavy on the former and current models, now they only have 2 or 3 per cast.

And if you notice- it is usually good looking guys and not so many hot girls on the cast.

But like you- I just love the game play and how it could be anyone that wins.

Would prefer if they went back to different locations again like they used to early on

Food- idiots- I would be the first one looking for that hidden inlet with snails and muscles and depending on my team- I decide if I keep it a secret or share with the team to be a "provider" lol
