My dumb logic says take Wake on the money line. RU loses, you get a nice payout, RU wins, you’re happy. Lol
I would actually take Rutgers here in this situation if it were any other team. We were -8 last game and lost straight up. Now we're an even bigger favorite, lightning rarely strikes twice. Seen this scenario many times.

With our offense, hard to see us beating any good team by more than 11, although we did so against the Hoosiers, but we own them. Really need this one to get the season back on track.

Like our Cliff, Wake’s Carr is foul prone. Will be interesting to see who stays out of foul trouble.

One of their players was benched last game...Monsanto averaging 9 points a game.

With Damari, it’s more about standard and expectations,” Forbes said. “I love him. I respect him. But there’s a standard, you’ve got to live with me every day at practice. And if you don’t do it, you don’t just automatically get to play. He knows that. God bless him, love him, but he knows how I operate. We had a really good practice yesterday. He wasn’t much a part of that. It will continue that way until that changes. He’ll fix it, or he won’t. But I’m not budging. We need him. But there’s just a certain level of expectations and standard that I have in practice. And he just didn't do it.”

About 20 years ago I was in Las Vegas with friends. I forget the opponent but I did exactly this. Lost the bet but was very happy because RU won. My friends thought the whole thing was very strange that I would bet against RU. I said it was an "emotional hedge" bet. They declared me an idiot and moved on.

Yes, the emotional hedge is very tempting even though I fully admit the logic is dumb!

Rutgers margin for error is small becasue of the offensive woes.Yes, they must win this game but doubtful by double digits..

Think we take this by about 10 but covering will probably depend on FT shooting and garbage time points so I’ll pass on that. This is as close to a must win as a December game can be. Think Pike will have them ready to play.

Wake got smoked but this is damn good coaching because that kid was locked in today. IMO, the best shooting guard we’ve faced all year.
