New Offense and/or Offensive Coach?

Seems like basketball could benefit from a shakeup in terms of whoever is coaching the offense. No imagination, poor execution. Eerily similar to football.

This is not like football where the “scheme” can help overcome a talent deficit.

We just don’t have good offensive players. We have a collection of complementary pieces who are being asked to be stars.

I am huge Pike fan...but for our program to evolve, this needs to be addressed

I understand that we run motion and there are not always set plays...but there are many times in a game where the awareness of what we need on offense simply isn't there. We really struggle to stretch leads and put games out of reach where often times we will go 5+ offensive possessions in a row that simply had no intentional purpose. This has to be addressed if we are going to take the next step as a program.

Has to. And it's not just "we need better shooters".

Agreed as I said in another thread all our coaches are point guards so you would think that they would be able to coach offense except as I said in the other thread also not having Jay Young is killing us as our big man Cliff needs better coaching!!!

The team needs players that are shooters and not just defense oriented.
