There was just no answers. We somehow limped into the half with the lead and there were still seemingly zero adjustments made at the half.

The staff has to make serious adjustments.

Simpson simply needs 25 to 28 minutes a game......Mulcahy was put under pressure from the backcourt to the front court, wasting valuable time on the shot clock. Pass the ball forward to another player and start moving.

I don't understand how if you plan to start Cam Spencer, how a great FT shooter, cannot find his way to the Free Throw line. Can the staff get something out of a stationary player, who cannot generate his own shot??

Mag is a good defensive player. He is not a starter, under any circumstances. I don't understand the fascination here.....is he a hustling team player?? YES.......but you have no chance to reach 60 points, unless you start Hyatt and let him take 11 to 13 shots a game.

There's no possible way, Mulcahy should stay as a PG full time. He's better off on the wing, where he can create off the ball and be a spot up shooter from the corner or wings. The only player capable of generating anything off a drive and kick is Simpson.

I won't get into Cliff.....he is still learning how to play individual offense, that doesn't require speed and quickness. There's no patience to his offense, he is still learning how to play. I don't see any chance he should be leaving college after this season, his offense needs a lot of work.

Onto Wake Forest and a staff is going to choke on its own pride or make basic basketball adjustments......SHU did nothing but allow RU to let Mulcahy dribble out every possession.
Man I was going to post literally almost everything you said. So I stopped 😂.

Paul better when he’s not the point. We are actually better with Cam or Simpson facilitating.
Why was Hyatt on tge bench 2nd half
when we needed scoring? Bad starting line up. Hyatt should start over Mag period.
Cliff no low post moves, no drop step, nothin. Poor hands and fouls incessantlyHe will be back for sure.

I have no problem with effort or our character.
Guys played their *** off imo.
Just really bad offensive performance from every player
First time in a few years Cliff was a complete zero with no impact in the paint on either end….none!!!
That can’t be
It was really, really bad. Really. So disappointed in tonight's performance.

The offensive flaws were evident since the Temple game. There are no replacements for Baker and Harper at crunch time. The performance of Paul and Caleb is very disappointing because they are the seniors on the team and there were too many turnovers committed by Rutgers. There was no bench scoring once again.Scoring only 43 points is simply mind boggling. The fans had little impact becuase of Rutgers scoring
Here's the offense.....

Mulcahy.....dribble, dribble, dribble......dribble.....dribble into the right baseline......stop.......look for help.....throw ball away.

Next possession.......dribble, dribble......slow dribble......no passes or movement, try and low percentage pass.......turnover.

This team has no chance to win games with Mulcahy dominating the ball for 20 out of the 30 seconds of the shot clock.......

It is amazing how a coaching staff sits on players who can play and score and somehow believe that you can win games 55-52.

The starting of Mag over Hyatt is insanity. If you take away Hyatts 3 3 pointers, RU doesn't reach 40 points.
OMG, did you steal our play book. You neglected that half of Mulcahy’s dribbling is 30 feet from the basket with his back to the basket, hoping he’s doesn’t get pilfered. It was like the coach’s son was playing PG tonight because the coach said so. Not much choice, however.

And nobody was looking back to help Paul get the ball up court.

This team is severely handicapped on offense because we don’t have any good shooters right now. We struggle to get 5 or 6 threes per game, and that limits our scoring. Our margin for error is razor thin because we struggle to score 65 points against P6 competition. Here is our 3-Pt output thus far:

Fairfield 4-13 (exhibition)

Columbia 8-20

Sacred Heart 7-17

UML 3-16

Temple 1-16

Rider 5-15

CCSU 8-18

Miami 7-21

Indiana 6-21

OSU 5-17

SHU 5-17

Total 55-178 - 31%

Carino told me he the recruiting services totally got it wrong with him though.

haha Carino looks pretty stupid for writing an article slamming fans here because Derek had 10 great minutes vs Indiana and has struggled to even get minutes the past two

Not saying Derek wont be good but Carino certainly comes across as foolish looking now

Wasn’t thrilled with Pike’s coaching tonight especially 2nd half. WHY do we not use the last TO there????

I said it when he was hired and I’ll repeat it again: Hollaway is going to own us. Watch.
So to be clear, you are saying that Holloway is a better coach and that Rutgers should have fired Pikiell after back-to-back NCAA appearances to hire him? If not, what exactly is your point?

at least for last night Holloway was the better coach, more prepared and better game plan. Also its disappointing that a veteran team lacked any leadership in the last 6-7 minutes

I love Pikes and nowhere have I EVER said he should be "fired." Nice try.

Pikiell needs to follow the recruiting strategy of Calhoun at Uconn bringing in elite shooting guards. The result was winning NCAA championships.Hurley is following that mantra while still playing strong defense at Uconn.

Anyone that thought this years team would be better than last years team found out the hard way last night that it isn’t the case. People took for granted how good Ron and geo were at crunch time and how they could create their own shot.
